that was my first thought as well, the ap gap was already quite large. does zoro have anything to deal with soul shenanigans? I am leaning towards zoro cause he will get a hit in first every time imo.

Haki can block out attacks that damage the soul. Zoro can't damage the soul directly though.

If byakuya senses zoro's initial superiority, he will enter bankai immediately closing that gap. Tho zoro would still be stronger but it wouldn't be a one shot gap. I will give my possible win cons for Byakuya soon.

Doesn't the paralysis come from physical exertion? It should be resisted when zoro has the higher physicals but I will leave it for the experts.

As long he is coated with armament haki, the effects of reaitsu shouldn't reach his soul.
