This depends on where the opponent attacks, those who have suits receive the 8‑B protection, but in versus match‑ups they are still susceptible to damage wherever the jacket offers no protection. For example, when Katana Man tried to cut Aki in half, only his chest got pierced because that's the only place where the Katana could damage, whilst the other parts of his torso were protected.

Technically, Tolka could sucker-punch fiend Beam (I think this is the most impressive thing a human civilian Devil Hunter- who isn't Yoshda- has ever done), albeit he was turned into a "perfect doll" rather than a normal one with the nutcracker-mouths.
To make a perfect doll is hard enough, and there was this other civilian devil hunter who ran side by side with Quanxi in hell, which is like, one hell of a feat considering the scenario
