The problem with Urashiki’s character is that they undermined him by trying to force a father-child bond dynamic with Naruto and Boruto, making them somewhat central to the arc. They essentially nerfed Urashiki for the sake of this narrative. In any reasonable scenario, Adult Sasuke and the Kages shouldn’t struggle to keep up with a character who is struggling with Part 1 Jiraiya. Urashiki was moving faster than Gaara’s sand, yet somehow Part 1 Naruto and Jiraiya could tag him. It’s like how Boruto can keep up with a fused Momoshiki in terms of speed, then damage him with a Father-Son Rasengan without dying from the shockwaves of the two Rasengans colliding. You call it Plot-Induced Jargons

Why waste chakra if he didn't know it was necessary yet

あの右目ヤローが出てきてただでさえ絶望的なのにチャクラが数十倍に上がっただと・・・

I know, this was prevalent for years, but even the last time I brought it up, the wiki didn’t accept SM as a Multiplier. Iirc, I think the argument was CSM =\= SM, for some odd reason.

How would you guys feel if one of the Jutsu that Boruto learned over the timeskip was Shojoji’s Repelling Jutsu? As a work around for not being able to absorb Jutsu with Karma.

Idt it's that SM isn't accepted as a multiplier, moreso that the CM isn't due to it being a simple injection of chakra from Orochimaru (even though I heavily disagree with it being additive based on the way it's presented and Hebi Sasuke's feats with it)

Why care for double spreads you can’t even enjoy them on paper, Ike made it clear he’s not gonna do double spreads ever unless it’s the start of a saga so just look elsewhere 😭

Was rereading Chapter 19 of TBV and I realized something while watching some youtube videos on this topic. I lowkey already touched on this topic offsite with @Shadowbokunohero but I've got even more now:

Jura after seeing Matsuri's feelings of love towards Konohamaru, likened it to the InoShikaChou's love towards Himawari - as in, their love for Himawari as a comrade superseded their own survival instincts. Especially in the case of Inojin, who nearly lost his life, to protect Himawari knowing damn well he stood negative chances against Jura. Despite knowing that they had no chance against Jura, Team 10 still attempted to fight back. This was something that shocked Jura, because humans don't act rationally when their emotions are involved. But it's obvious to him that it's something they need to conquer in themselves (This is likely foreshadowing for the fates of the Shinju, more so Hidari though because we know emotions are also tied to Yin Release, which we know Uchihas have much of).

But we also see this happening within the fight between Konohamaru and Matsuri. Jura is basically saying that the attachment through bonds that Shinobi have keep them in that cycle of Samsara (birth, death, and rebirth) thanks to karma (actions have consequences). Kawaki further drives this theory in Part 1, when he tries to kill Boruto and Sarada jumps in the way to protect him and Kawaki says "Shinobi... Hokage... you shinobi are really destined to die early." Kakashi even touches on this subject with Team 7 after they defeat Zabuza and Haku. Zabuza and Haku are supposed to be tools with no emotions yet Haku sacrifices himself to save Zabuza, and Zabuza cries after Naruto points out how hypocritical it is for Zabuza to say that Haku's just a tool and dies after betraying his contractors. But anyway, Kaguya's powers which trickled down to Hagoromo, which he then passed down to humanity, were all rooted from and based on that concept. These bonds what's stopping these Shinobi from reaching "enlightenment" (which is the goal, to break out of that Samsara cycle and reach Nirvana), which makes sense from the lense of Jura who's clearly being written to be an evolutionist.

It's poetic that he's the one who's pointing this all out because Isshiki's Karma is what Code used to create the Shinju in the first place. Isshiki's Dojutsu which has that eye pattern, that's based on the Dharma Wheel, which transcends even the concept of Samsara (or in this case, transcending even Kaguya "The Mother of Chakra (on Earth)".

But anyway, we see that with Konohamaru as well. Konohamaru was struggling to get past that bond he has with Moegi that he saw in Matsuri (as we know this through that flashback he had of he and Moegi when they were kids), and even after he hits her with his Rasengans, he's unable to do the job because of those feelings that are holding him back. It's a complete cycle.

it would take me an embarrassingly long time to finish
you and me both, my prime had me finishing 50 episodes per day when I binged naruto and bleach but nowadays I can barely finish one show in a week
burn out sucks
3 pico seconds on a good day and 4 on a bad one 🗿
who let itachi join vsbw
If I'm fast probably as long as it takes to reach the last chapter
what does this even mean

Hagoromo giving Chakra to Humans is retconned, thus Kaguya isn’t the mother of “All Chakra” on earth, unless we say she’s just lost her goddamn mind.

I don't read or watch Naruto, Hagoromo instantaneously bestows knowledge upon me about the series whenever I need it.

"Have you never contemplated how many times an Otsutsuki who became a God may have previously manipulated humankind's memories?" is such a cool statement. Im guessing when we hear more about Shibai, they're gonna confirm he was one of the Otsutsuki whose mural was destroyed in the dimension Sasuke visited

Beautiful write-up 📝.

I think Boruto needs more long range variety/options:
  1. Raiton: Thunder
  2. Raiton: Thunderclap Arrow
  3. Raiton: Shiden
  4. Raiton Enhanced Shuriken
  5. Vanishing Rasengen
Iirc, Breakthrough & Gale Palm are Close-to-Mid Range. 🤔

Water Wave

but also does he really? With FTG he can be anywhere with a shuriken, he doesn't really need more than he already has. Minato without any ranged options but his kunais make it work.

This is exactly why I believe the introduction of Shibai and the Otsutsuki who became gods would be explored even more later on. It wouldn’t make sense to introduce such a major plot point without fully exploring it. That’s why I don’t think Boruto will just end with a simple happy conclusion, like Boruto marrying Sarada and having a child named Saruto (Naruto repeat). Instead, I see his journey taking the Shadow Hokage role to its absolute limit, going beyond just protecting Konoha like Sasuke. He would become a guardian of both Earth and the universe, maintaining order and watching over the realms from a higher dimension.

I hope Boruto has at least 1 new Wind Style and Water Style Jutsu to round out his TBV Arsenal. It’d be great if Sasuke “could’ve” taught Boruto his Faux Ice-Style due to his Otsutsuki Physiology. 🤷‍♂️

Just like Sasuke said maybe with the exception of sharingan based techniques he literally taught boruto everything he knew.

Boruto, he's significantly more versatile/haxed and has much more knowledge on Momoshiki than vise versa
I mean… his versatility isn’t a boon here given Momoshiki’s Rinnegans and Momoshiki has shown being able to react to near peer opponents from point blank with Teleportation in the form of Sasuke w/ Ameno.

FTG requires more set up (Simple, but still).

he's like a proud father of three

I respect Kishimotos freedom and desire to rest after several grueling years of serialisation but good god I'd do anything for naruto as a series to be twice as long

Current Boruto vs Fused Momoshiki (Equal Stats) in Momoshiki’s Dimension.

Who takes this hypothetical?
prob momo once he starts whipping out the stone monke

though also likelyhood that boruto just uzuhiko's him prior, but momo should be more skilled overall h2h but boruto has a lot more intel on him.

good fight 6/10 Borts Favor.
