I did not even watch Pilot in 2019, I literally watched it right before show. I used to think they are both equally good, but looking back Pilot is obviously better.
I hope berserk means “the worst character in fiction ever” in this context.

Oh yeah... wait let me see:
1. Angel has no backstory
2. Husk has no backstory
3. Nifty is the same
4. Charlie seems even more useless in the pilot than in the series (MAN, seriously, don't tell me about Katie Kill Joy, that only happened after so many insults and mockery he received)
5. Alastor... man, I have nothing to say for him, I would say that people overhyped him, because it's impossible for people to tell me that he could beat ******* BILL CIPHER
6. Vaggie has no backstory at all and she is what people say she is...Charlie girlfriend (or in this case, not even that because if they don't tell you, you will think she is her sister or her friend, not her partner)
7. not even make me mention about things like animation, yes it is fine, but that was only because of the time they spent on it, the show is a official series, not a indie project (it started has a indie project).
8. Sir pentious is better in the series than in the pilot, i don't want discussions.

1 and 2. It's a pilot, it's not supposed to explain absolutely everything to you, especially when it's one episode, not to mention what backstory are you talking about? Angel's real name being Anthony and him selling his soul to Valentino? Wow, that's a lot! Or the fact we still don't know anything about Husk with the only change is that we know he was an overlord and him losing a game which made him sell his to Alastor? Yeah, that's a lot.
3. Even in the show, we still don't know anything about her.
4. Useless in terms of what exactly?
5. What does powerscaling have to do with which one is better??
6. Vaggie wasn't even a fallen angel at the time of the pilot, and point 1 stands.

Given that their ship feels extremely forced and lacks any substantial writing, and really look like besties for the most of the time, very likely.
I also heard somewhere that the original plan was Angel Dust x Vaggie because of their shared pasts (Vaggie originially had entirely different backstory). But that’s what I “heard”. Too lazy to actually check this.
