Brian currently scales to 3000 Joules while Ayano only scales to 825 Joules, which is over 3,63x difference for Brian. He is also stronger physically and posses M99 which can give him the W if he injects her with it at the right moment

However, Ayano is much more skilled either with or without weapons, being capable of easily outskilling martial arts students within her school.

Atm I'll vote Mr Ice Truck here with a 6/10 majority. He's got the higher AP, likely better LS too and M99 can secure a win. Skill wise Brian shouldn't be too far behind either as he can hold his own against Dexter who can fight ex military personnel. Assuming stealth does come into play Brian could try and ditch mid fight like he with Dex too.

Ayano probably has a pretty sizeable skill advantage but Brian’s overall better stats and M99 should barely give him the win

Holy ****, I didn’t expect this match to get 5 votes in two days. I gotta work fast.

Brian’s going to have trouble touching Ayano to use his AP advantage when Ayano out-skills him comfortably. Any knife attacks Brian tries to do are dodged. It should be no different from M999 since he’s still swinging his hands. Ayano will quickly deduce that M999 is either a poison or sedative, or just generally dangerous because in her experience, whenever she’s carrying a syringe, she’s going to use it to knock someone out. It’s not any different with Brian. This will basically lead to either Ayano disarming Brian and using the syringe on him, because again, she’s more skilled, or breaks the syringe with her bare hands.

In the former, Ayano wins, but if it’s the latter then Ayano can slowly stab Brian to death. Brian isn’t going to be able to reliably deal enough damage to Ayano to kill her because she out-skills him.

Ok well the range difference is gonna be a problem but Brian should have the strength advantage so disarming her isn't out of the question and he knows the layout of Miami Metro which means if he starts to lose he could just book it and try a stealth attack.

However yeah, I think I've changed my mind in that Brian would probably lose 9/10 times in a hand to hand fight

They seem equal in LS, I doubt he can just disarm her quickly. Furthermore, disarming a shovel is easier said than done, bro is gonna get his hands pummeled.
