Freeza upgrade

Not sure why he was downgraded but Frieza as early as his 1st form in RoF saga should be far above even Gotenks. Despite Gotenks matching Super Buu, Piccolo and Gohan thought it would be too dangerous to bring Goten and Trunks via "Them being reckless". Not to mention Gohan as a SSJ was able to overpower a stronger Togama and was considerably stronger than Gotenks hence why it is thought he should still be Ultimate Gohan level in his SSJ enraged form.

As I recall, does Goku not mention that Frieza can destroy stars in the manga or is it a translation error?

Does the fact that they didn't bring Gotenks along because "they're reckless" mean that there is another valid reason besides sheer power why they wouldn't bring along Goten and Trunks? If Frieza has other reasons to scale to 4-B then it's fine, but this isn't one of them.

Or was that movie only?
And Frieza one shot SSJ Gohan too, who > Tagoma
 
Looked it up, Tagoma took a hit to the dick from SSJ1 Gotenks. So there's that, if we take that at face value.

It'd be like Frieza > SSJ1 Gohan > Tagoma ~ SSJ1 Gotenks.

The manga uses RoF. It shows multiple flashbacks that parallel the movie version (Shisami instead of Tagoma on Earth for starters) and Toyotaro wrote and drew a promo manga for the RoF movie that ends just before Freeza turns Golden, and I'm pretty sure it was accepted as a source for Manga Goku.
 
Wait how does tagoma scale to gotenks? Didn't gotenks literally one shot him

(There's not any way you can use that for scaling)

SS1 Gotenks headbutt him in the nether regions and he remained conscious. That's the weakest spot on a man's body.

Gotenks never even appeared in the movie; and Tagoma basically survived getting headbutted in the crotch but was shrieking in pain. And that was before Ginyu possessed his body and made it stronger. Plus, they still sensed Frieza's PL and despite knowing Super Buu's PL and Gotenks, they considered Frieza far too dangerous even for Gotenks.

Do you have a scan / clip of that statement?
 
I cannot link to pirated Anime streaming websites, but it's from episode 11. Also, pretty sure Gohan saying, "They would have done something reckless" involves becoming Gotenks and the most "Reckless thing" would be going straight for Frieza. The cast was more than aware of Gotenks being Super Buu's level but still thought even Frieza's 1st form was too dangerous even for him. Highly doubt any of the fodder soldiers would threaten them no matter how reckless they were, and otherwise, Tagoma and to a lesser extent Sishimi are the only ones with decent PLs.

But that would only further strengthen the argument they were specifically worried about them going for Frieza since Tagoma (who is far stronger than Sishimi) got badly phased by one attack from SSJ1 Gotenks, meaning even they'd hardly be a threat, especially compared to SSJ3.

Yeah but he was hit in the DICK. That being the main factor as to why he was curled up in a ball holding his ****.

He's at the very least within that ballpark given he didn't straight up die, something that arc had little issues doing to characters, including him.
 
Bu- i wrote Freeza with two E instead of with I, now that i noticed. Not sure what's the more correct one-up.
