A place to discuss the Manhwa "The Warrior Returns" or "Hero has Returned".

There WILL be spoilers for chapters not released on LINE, so beware.

The Webtoon can be found here, officially.

Sweet. December 18 I'm much more free onwards so I'm gonna do my usual read every chapter in existence and record every possible ability they gained (Might do that earlier too). Any profile I make would just be statless in the meantime.

I'll spoil my non Line stuff anyway jic.

But damn, the Faith of Hero was both ****** up and cool, and also a jobber. Makes sense scaling wise but still.

And oh snap, new chapters out. It's always when I don't check for a day

And please do read the new chapter releases outside of LINE, The Hero of Return is such a BADASS.
I'm gonna be honest he's my top favorite character of this verse.

Like holy ******* shit. 81 (I meant 82 but 81 is also great) is just the epitome of badassery. I can understand why he felt that since at this point why was he suffering for the sake of suffering. But for him to do that and to even shine brighter. Goddamn.

First off the way to circumvent the fight was already genius enough, getting yourself killed by yourself. I was wondering if he was gonna take a cyanide pill or something but this is even better.

Also the fact that he's pitifully weak because he became lazy and reliant on return is fantastic and makes sense. With a power like that he really doesn't need to try.

Everything was perfect minus my one issue.

Tbh I wished he was just fine with repeatedly sending the Spear Hero to die there. That way he can figure out what exactly needs fixing and how to adjust. Maybe this will be addressed later since usually issues I have with this character are resolved as if the writer is reading my words. Maybe there's no difference whatsoever and only the Hero of Return is the one able to actually harm him.

Also I do imagine it'll probably be easier for our returner here to have returned right from the very start, and then use his strongest form to cleave off his arm.

Oh and, to add on.

Also that was a nice island wiping feat.

And Hero of Return managed to find the golden ending of saving everyone. Now if only he could frigging update his save files and die in peace, none of this would've happened. Goddamnit.

Anyway I really like this manhwa. No matter its flaws and high highs and low lows, it really is great.

I imagine the Line version of this battle will have amazing music accompanying this.

I think him just continuously sending Park Jeong-Su to his death to fight Kim Min-Su would've been counter-intuitive to what he wanted, and frankly impossible. Even before Kim Min-Su became a Demon King, it was impossible for the Hero of Return to defeat him, no matter how many times he returned, or what plans he used. Now that Kim Min-Su is a Demon King, it's even more impossible.

I think, just like before, he would've lost his mind trying to figure out ways to beat Kim Min-Su before Park Jeong-Su eventually defeated him. It would've been to much stress for him to bear and he would've just jumped to his death.

Oh? Curious on why you think it's counter intuitive. But you're right on impossible. I was hoping that he could at least get some information from Min-Su about how he fights and certain advantages, but then again if he fought Minsu himself then that's probably the best way to figure everything out. Still what a ******* chad. Seongjun Lee and Sasaki Kojiro are now side by side on the "Die a thousand times" just to master every attack pattern of an enemy in my book.

I say counter-intuitive because well... He wants to die. And knows that he can't defeat Min-Su with any normal plans. So putting himself through even more death loops for an impossible task makes no sense. He died over 10k times just trying to get an ARM.

But yeah either way he's a chad.

1000%

You took my legs? I'll take your arm then

I also really doubt he's gonna regenerate his limbs as comment say. There's simply no way.

Anyway yeah that makes sense. But damn Hero of Return is pretty much doomed to doom any of the world he ends up in because of this stupid demon karma thing.

Oh and forgot to mention,
Saint Damian
Facts.

Though I guess he's actually dead/sealed forever?

Also gonna be waiting a month for the next batch of chapters probably. That's gonna be such a paaaain

Screw it, gonna work on a profile for the lower level jobbers so that I can start exposing more people to Hero has returned on my breaktime. Gonna consult you for any stats once I finish them on blogposts though.

He's not gonna end up in any World after this I think. I think once his return stops working he just uh, dies. No more world transmigration OR returning. At least, that's what I believe.

And, logically, Min-Su should be able to make another limb with his magic based on what we've seen, but yeah I doubt it.

Idk if he's sealed forever but he's def not dead.

Kewl.

I meant more "Imagine him in any other setting" that doesn't have a demon world basically lol. Just a What If scenario. Also whoops my quotes get unspoiled if you quote them. Anyway back to work for me

Anyway, without spoilers, my favorite warrior is prolly the Magical Girl Warrior or whatever she's called.

Bitch literally SHOVED THE SHARDS OF HER BROKEN WEAPON INTO HER FISTS and started beating ass.

Literally metal af.

I know only very few badass magical girls. She's definitely one of them. I don't think she'll be able to fight anymore but she put up one hell of a fight tho. Might be for the best so that she won't die

I'm rereading the chapters, even the painful first ones, but damn. I forgot that Jung Soo/Spear Hero is a legitimate badass. Literally killed his world's demon lord, started to repeatedly revive him just to grind up to the point that the Demon King is begging to die.

Edit - I'm at 77 now. I'm very close to finishing it all, I have the docs ready. Profiles will take more time but I can link the doc later in a DM if you want Azo

Edit Edit - I will now sleep. The doc is fully ready (Disorganized but eh. Also some nice scaling chains on Captain Korea and Spear Hero)

The BGM/OST for the latest webtoon release is sooooooo good.
De Capo is fantastic and a fitting one to what happens in that chapter. I had to search the rest of their songs on youtube and found it. Btw if you have a webtoon account it's so easy to get free coins to use

I put the Hope Music on the same level as Boxer's final song.

Oh and Chapter 82 has its own OST but we can't sees it yet.

Uh, usually on shit I'm already caught up on, but don't want to wait for new releases for.

Oh, I know what your talking about. The laws of the world force Heroes who defeated a Demon Lord to stop becoming stronger, and iirc the only people exempt are those who become Demon Lord's, ignoring the laws of the world.

Yup, but then suddenly Magical Girl and Spear of Edge managed to get stronger (although former was temporary and latter had minor help)

I believe that's because Earth now has its own Demon Lord, and as such, the Heroes there are now able to get stronger instead of their power stagnating.

In fact, the whole plan of Seongjun Lee was to create a Demon Lord of Earth and then train the Warrior who would stop it. Insinuating that once a Demon Lord was born, their strength could once again increase.

Oh yeah that makes sense. Maybe that's how Seongjun 'got stronger' in his own way too. Nevermind then

Seongjun did not get stronger. He was simply using the power he already had, but had never bothered using because the Return ability is OP.

The only way you could say he "got stronger" is possibly from him saying his senses got sharper and time slowed down in the fight, but, that's most likely a life or death response any human would have, since he's now finally putting his life on the line without a second chance.

It scales to pretty much everyone.

The Sea Dragon Hero can contend with the Spear Hero, who easily harmed the Martial Arts Hero, who in turn can fight the Metamorphosis Hero, who in turn can fight the Sword Hero at full strength.

And the scaling goes on.
