except you have a character circulating around planetary power levels. were not talking about a 10-B character blowing up earth, we're talking about someone who is 5-C. No hyperboles were said, saitama would have no reason for a hyperbole and thats the only thing people can use. you have saitama whos dead serious when hes mad.

Just because he said he can doesnt mean he can. Why should Saitama be given a free pass based on whatever he says but we cant do the same to characters like freaking Sasori who stated he already wiped out a country with his puppets and wasnt even exxagerating at all.
The highest feat he has is at most small planet lvl via Psychorochi's beam from the earth's core. He doesnt have enough feats to get a planet lvl upgrade and statements like this aint going to help either.

Also, for a 5-C, no 5-B feat will be an outlier if that's ur point, that's beyond the reasonable specially coming from Saitama, who not only never showed his true strength, but scales "far higher" than his current rating, which is 5-C (Still not added, but already accepted)

Hes not given a free saitama pass, theres actual context behind this and every single arrows points towards planet level.
the highest feat he has is moon level, in which this feat was achieved with no difficulty. i dont get what u mean by he doesn't have enough feats, you don't need a certain number of feats. you have a 0 difficulty 5-C feat, not like that was his max power or even a quanitifiable amount of power. statements like this don't help...yes they do.

I'm saying we should be PATIENT. Just wait a chapter. You're genuinely ignoring what i'm saying and going "prove something big is about to happen" over and over.
The only claim I am making is that story-wise, big stuff is about to happen. There's a big fight coming (I mean, we're literally seeing the start of it, Garou tried to kill Saitama and Saitama retaliated) and all I am saying is should just wait to see what happens.
Then the 5-C thing can be added. That's fine. But I fail to see why we shouldn't just wait here, it's just a statement and the start of the fight.

Doesn't he already upscale unquantifiably from a 5C feat? If so, then I don't see a problem with it. But if they got downgraded again, then I am fine with possibly/likely rating.

This might sound like an unusual approach but in all honesty, saitama is more than likely still ridiculously above everyone else except maybe GOD. and considering the verse already has a small planet level feat, planetary saitama is not actually far fetched IMO.
Its definitely not the most concrete argument, so "possibly/likely" would be fine

we talked about author statement vs inverse statement said by character. ONE is still the author of the manga so ONE in both the wc and manga has this statement said for an actual reason.

I doubt it would tbh. A similar statement was in the webcomic version too (earlier on in the arc iirc) and it was a one-off statement there. Seriously doubt that this statement will have any bearing on the upcoming Garou fight too.

The statement in itself is horrible.
We wouldn't make someone SOL because they say "I move like a flash" and they have a rel feat backing it up. Why? Because the statement is ass.
This is the same logic.

an idiom is very different from telling someone "im so mad im boutta blow up this planet" when the person in question has indeed been consistently shown to being in that ballpark.
because "moving like a flash" is a common metaphor and ngl i've never heard anyone say "imma obliterate the planet right about now" as a common metaphor. Its a pretty damn direct statement
