Idk, Dagon? It has no continuity.
You can read whatever you want, though if you want to learn about the cosmology i ain't the one to recommend those stories.

If i had to chose what to read to know about the characters then Dagon, Call of Cthulhu, Nyarlothotep (poem), At the mountains of madness.

This should cover mentions/introductions of Dagon, Cthulhu Nyarlothotep, Azathoth, Shoggoth, Hastur
