umineko is not very well known in the west (except in vs debates boards and stuff) so what are some ways that it could be well known and popular here in the west? (like it becomes pop culture material)?

(i already know one. colbert bump) but is there any other way that umineko could become more popular?

Umineko is also one of the most popular VNs, tho it's eclipsed by Higurashi which is VERY popular tnx to the 2006 anime.

Umineko's popularity might change if it gets a decent anime adaptation (maybe after Higurashi Sotsu ends, hopefully).

I think people may get interested because of Featherine's presence too.

I heard there was going to be a movie adaptation of Umineko thought.
This is the first time I've heard of something like that. An anime adaptation is already hard enough because of how Umineko is, let alone something like a LA adaptation. You'll need a shit ton of money and a director like David Lynch to pull that of.

Definitely. I've seen quite a good number of people getting into Umineko between the end of Gou and start of Sotsu.

It was honestly such a meme on how Higurashi Gou went from "this can probably be watched by first timers" to "oh ****, this is a sequel" then to "welp, you need to have read Umineko to understand this", and then, the next episode after, to "****, you need to be aware of the meta-narrative spaning the entire WTC series to understand Gou". It was amazing!

Those were just rumors, I didn't say It was true. But Yeah, I finded that weird. Thought the Anime adaptation is really bad tbh

i don't find the common people hear it.

ask a normal person about it and they're like never heard of it.

When Battler had a breakdown in ep 2 or 3, he panicked and made the argument that the food the guests were served had small bombs in them. Beato didn't deny it in red just because it was so dumb she could do nothing but laugh.

missed chance for beato to troll battler. (and summon unexploded bombs or something)

Umineko is like, the only VN I've heard normal people talk about outside of like, Fate I guess.

Well folks, i think the reasons why this series isn't popular was because some of factors:
  1. It's only well-known in VN circles. Yes i'm aware WTC VN is the most high ranked VN in the west after Fate but it's only been talked in it's own circles and not in general, doesn't mention Visual Novel genre are pretty niche
  2. The 2006 anime suffered from the time flow. This one was popular too back in the past but as the time goes on, it slowly sunk to the obscurity (and the fact it need a one-half decade to get an "remake" or sequel make it worse), hence why peoples said it's an underrated anime series
  3. The budget hold this series hard until Gou and Sotsu
This is my points about WTC series, feel free to debating this
