Question about lifting strength

Would a character automatically be able to lift their own weight? For example, if a character weighs 1,000,000kg, then would they automatically have Class M LS?

I guess so, I have seen many characters get a certain lifting weight via sheer size, like planet sized characters getting class Y for instance

according to attack potency large building level to lifting strength comparison means you can lift 2 to 11 tons correct? Or is that energy output? How do you determine weight lifting in lifting strength if all it says is buildings and planets?

Ap is defined by joules, which can be converted into tons of TNT.
Large Building is 2-11 tons of TNT, it's a measure of force, not weight or mass.

Lifting strength can be found here.
Feats like, lifting, pulling, throwing, etc can be used to gauge lifting among other things.

But if some one is capable of lifting 11 tons how strong is their striking strength?

Actually, you can get AP from Lifting Strength, such as through gravitational PE.

But on the flip side, you can't get LS from AP, like punching or kicking, as that involves kinetic energy and momentum, which doesnt apply to things like pulling or lifting from a stand still.

The gravitational potential energy from lifting things is applied over a longer time than the kinetic energy from punching and kicking.
They also use different muscle groups, so I don't see how you could just compare the two like that.

And? If you lift like a trillion tons above off the ground by say, 6ft, you can easily calculate it using PE and get an AP. We've done it many times before, PE feats in general are that, length of time doesnt even matter, all you need is mass, distance lifted and the gravitational acceleration to calculate it.
The result would apply to both durability and AP.

But the opposite isnt true, you can't get LS from AP 99% of the time, strictly talking about punching and kicking, it's impossible to calculate the LS from something because of the speed factor involved, you could punch like 1mil tons away, but it doesnt mean you can lift it, as the KE of the punch is what moved it. You could in theory get LS if you know the speed of which the blows were tossed, and calculate the G's, but 99% of verses dont even consider that as a thing so it's a bit moot to factor that in unless the verse is well aware of that's a thing.

You can get LS from some AP calcs, actually, like knocking someone into the air, if you have all the data required.

Can you? I recall some feats like that actually being rejected.
If you have an example or two where that's been accepted send me them, it it could come handy for a specific feat I'm thinking of.

That seems extremely illogical, but alright.
I mean I can do a pull-up, and I weigh 230lb, but I can't uppercut someone so hard they go several feet into the air, even those a lot lighter.

Ok I’m confused. If you are a lycan from underworld series and can lift 11tons in lifting strength what category are you in striking strength?

PE is only really relevant for big lifting feats. I wouldnt start using it unless the distance is quite big or the mass is at least a few tons and above.

Though your example isnt really how PE would apply to lifting feats.

Probably like, lowend wall at best based simply from that. Lifting feats even if sometimes they can be used, often dont give very good AP results.

Gurren Lagann lifting that one mecha.
Spiderman lifting the Daily Bugle.

Good to know, maybe can use that to give GE and the low tier Stands a LS beyond unknow given GE could bounce cars and trucks into the air.

Yeah, I can see that giving Class 5 or something.
