Why doesn't it have any actual reasoning behind it? It just says "boosted to low-godly" and doesn't elaborate on why.

It's scaled from Demise, who was able to reincarnate his spirit into Ganondorf after his essence was absorbed and erased over time.

In terms of practical use in combat he should have a regenen much lower than that.

Yo, you cant "Talk to Azzy" this kind of stuff. Dont you have any better explanation?

I personally thought it was because of the scene between second phase and third phase during his fight in Twilight princess. The whole Ganon dying and that spirit form and stuff.

@Cal

What says you can't?

Also, your description literally includes "reincarnate his spirit", which isn't regen. Not to mention it was explicitly over time.

I'm literally saying he can explain it better than me. No other implications.

The fact that you need an intact spirit to reincarnate. In order to reincarnate, he'd to have to have come back from the initial incident. Only reason it took time was because the erasure took time.

So, does anybody want to inform Azathoth about this thread?

I saw.

This comes from Breath of the Wild, by the way.

During the Calamity Ganon boss fight, Ganon is incomplete. He was not able to fully regain his strength or form before Link arrived, and thus faces him in a strange, makeshift body. After being defeated, this body is destroyed, leaving Ganon's "soul". Ganon's soul pools its remaining energy into another body made of pure Malice, creating Dark Beast Ganon. After Dark Beast Ganon is defeated, his body falls apart, once more leaving behind Ganon's soul, which is sealed away by Zelda.

This is not something Ganon usually displays, and Calamity Ganon is extremely different from most incarnations of Ganon we've seen, but yes, he displays what is essentially low-godly regen mid-fight, his soul creating the Dark Beast body after the Calamity body is destroyed. It is suggested it took a lot of power for him to do this.

Edit: The Hyrule Compendium also confirms Ganon was regenerating a physical form inside Hyrule Castle.

"The source of the darkness that has appeared time and again throughout Hyrule's history. It's been called many names, from "Great King of Evil" to "Calamity." Hibernating within a cocoon, it attempted to regenerate a physical form after Link awoke but was forced to confront him in an incomplete state."

Okay. Thank you for the explanation. Perhaps this should be better clarified within his profile page?

Yes, it definitely should be.

It should also probably be noted that Ganon's best low-godly regen takes time. Ganon started regenerating a physical form after it sensed Link awake, but was not finished by the time he reached Hyrule Castle. Going by dialogue and events in game, it likely took Link an absolute minimum of several weeks to free the Divine Beasts and reach Ganon, which was not enough time for him to make the ideal body.

The Dark Beast body, while made immediately, has the negative side effect of consuming Ganon with rage, meaning he cannot think clearly in this form. This means if forced into using low-godly regen mid-fight, he's taking an enormous hit to intelligence and self preservation.

Okay. Would you be willing to improve on the profile?

Okay. Thanks. No problem.
