Wasn't Hitogami unable to track him despite his all seeing eye or something? Can't find the source now but I recall him being able to stay hidden from Hitogami and can even hide Rudeus from him once he started serving him.

Gonna have to reread. I think it was a natural resistance to being seen from all timelines or something. I doubt it was just Rudeus' ability either since Orsted was still able to use it despite him giving that.
