I have made a blog post regarding the canonicity regarding the novels here.
ChaosTheory123 has also provided assistance with answering a question that was lingering her for a while (regarding Star Wars), so he gets my utmost gratitude.
So, feel free to share your thoughts here in this thread. It would be preferable if the blog was free of excess posts for the time being.
EDIT: I'll just post what is in the blog here in this thread.

@kyle_newman @HolocronKeeper: The novelizations of the seven films--including The Clone Wars--are canon. |
To clarify, movie novelizations are canon where they align with what is seen on screen in the 6 films and the Clone Wars animated movie. |

Basically saying they're canon so long as the content in a given part of the novel doesn't contradict the films. So shit like the slip jaws and mention of how fast the ships were moving over Coruscant and the like is fair game where any mention in the narration to things like Labyrinth of Evil are not *shrugs*. We're hardly the only ones using them either, been a free for all on Comicvine with them too. And there is no such thing as G-canon anymore in Disney. There is canon and non-canon. Only in Legends does that tier still apply. You also have the fact Del Rey included them in their timeline on top of the fact the novel covers lack the "Legends" logo. Star Wars Timeline |
