A bit of a mismatch.
Unlike with Dimitri, who can very barely contend with Aegis to tank some hits, Seal Movement to get in close, and his own attack buffs to slice Cole up (sans, you know, him having Low-Mid), this match-up doesn't work as well, if at all.
Claude is massively outranged to the point both his arrows and magic can't really manage to reach Cole. Using Silence doesn't work because Cole isn't using magic technically. Using Encloser to restrict Cole's movement is out if Cole resists Status Effects, and even if he doesn't specifically resist Encloser's minor paralysis it's extremely unlikely an Encloser-boosted shot would actually reach Cole. Seal Defense's defense debuffs would only matter if Claude could actually get into Cole's range AND that's if Cole couldn't just redirect his projectiles with shockwaves. Tens of meters versus several kilometers with a range spammer like Cole is a big no no. And with SBA, he's in the range to spam.
So with ranged attacks for Claude out, that leaves his swordsmanship skills in a very unlikely CQC scenario. And yet, not only doesn't Claude have the Sword of Belgata by this point to increase his passive healing, a guy with a regular sword and bow (due to him not having Failnaught yet) doesn't seem to have anything really going for him against a guy that can reverse magnetic fields, manipulate the weather, use granades and rockets, amplify his own speed, heal himself, or just absorb Claude's bio-electric energy directly with Bio-Leech to probably one-shot. Would a Defense Seal debuff actually matter here when Claude himself has virtually no resistance to Cole's powers?
