Kessler walked alone through the blistering sand. He was directionless, moving with no real destination in mind, but he was not purposeless. His target would appear before him soon enough. Kessler didn't bother turning around as he heard someone land on the ground behind him. "Son Goku, I presume." Goku was taken aback, suprised that the stranger knew his name. He just sensed someone with a strong Power Level in the desert and gone to investigate. "Yeah, that's me. How do you know my name?" Kessler turned around. "I've been watching you for a long time. I must admit, I'm impressed with your capabilities." Goku got into a fighting stance. "Does that mean you're looking for strong people to fight too?" Kessler waved him down. "No, my fighting days are over, I'm afraid. But in time, I will have someone you can fight lined up and waiting."

Goku cocked his head to the side, but before he could ask, Kessler continued. "Let me explain. My name is Kessler. I am a scientist working to create the strongest being on planet Earth. However, I am getting quiet old. By the time my work is complete, I won't be alive to see if I was successful." Kessler pulled a picture from his pocket and a heart monitor. "This is Cole MacGrath, a resident of Empire City. That heart monitor is connected to my heart. When it flatlines, I want you to hunt down Cole MacGrath, challenge him, and see if I was successful in making him the strongest man on Earth." Goku scratched the back of his head. "Wow, you sure out a lot of thought into this. But, alright, I'll do it! This Cole guy won't know what hit him." Kessler smiled. "Good. I have little doubt that you'll give him the fight of his life." And just like that, Kessler vanished into the storm.

"Hey, Cole. You might wanna come take a look at this." Zeke said as he shook the bike messenger awake. "Zeke, what do you... want..." Cole trailed off as he saw the young boy standing on a cloud hovering over him. "Cole MacGrath, my name is Son Goku. Before he died, Kessler said he'd make you the strongest there is. I want to see if he did. C'mon, let's fight!" Cole blinked tiredly, before groaning, getting up, and stretching. "Even dead that guy's a pain in my ass..." He muttured. "Alright, fine. Meet me in the blast crater of the Historic District. Do your worst."

Thanks. I decided to make this after I noticed that the laughably outdated original fight was still on their profiles. Do you have an opinion or not yet? I can answer any questions you might have on Cole if you'd like.
 
Let's see here.

Goku is 96 Megatons. Cole is at the top of a long scaling chain.

It goes like this. 27 Megaton explosion < Post-Blast Cole <<< Sasha < Early Game Cole <<< Alden < Mid-Game Cole <<< Kessler =/< EOG Cole. Cole amplifies his powers 3x in between each boss fight (sans Kessler, where he just does one), and Early Game Cole flat out admits that Alden is far stronger than him when he first sees him. Plus, EOG Cole has casual 55 Megaton feats.
 
Hrmm, I'm not sure. Scaling chains are difficult to quantify. I'd imagine it's around that ball park.
 
Probably, just saying if you're 20% stronger than someone in Dragon Ball, then you One-Shot them. It's strange, but that's how Ki Attacks just work.
 
The atomizing actually comes from Trunks stomping Mecha-Frieza, where a guidebook stated that Trunks atomized him. The 20% thing comes from a bunch of different places, But Gohan vs Cell and Vegeta One-Shotting Dodoria are the 2 big examples.
 
So, in that case it's a question of whether Cole's range spam and massive variety of projectiles can bring Goku down before a ki blast hits him.
 
Cole is much more versatile in range Spam, good regen, electricity to paralyze, homing attacks, forcefields etc etc.

Cole isn't as skilled in CQC but he never fights in CQC in character anyway and if Goku somehow got that close he can just air pressure wave him and go back to range spamming.

Cole takes this rather comfortably.

A mere 2x Advantage isn't going to one shot Cole so I have no idea where the idea that he one shots comes from. More importantly Soul never even voted beyond "Goku one shots and atomizes him" so voting based of that alone while ignoring everything the other characters can do is invalid.
 
It is a canon thing that you can vaporize with a big enough difference, is the only reason they can even kill Cell and Majin Buu. But considering Cell was killed by a special technique like Kamehameha, which really heightens one's power immensely (to the point that Piccolo could kill Raditz, who fodderized him easily even with Goku's help, in one shot through the chest by using special beam canon), vaporising with only a 20% difference makes little to no sense.
 
OK, first of all they stopped using power levels after Frieza and SSJ Grade 1 Goku on Namek.

2nd, I'm getting really tired of people saying Power Levels are bullshit. The meme was funny at first, but now everyone thinks they don't matter, which was never said in any official source ever.
 
Except they used powers level for the very feat you said it's because they're so inconsistent and it's because of that that they shouldn't matter

Besides, that's Vegeta, this is Kid Goku, why are you comparing the two
 
Maybe the fact we don't use power levels since ages ago since they don't make sense to establish anything worthwhile for our profiles besides "this dude is stronger than this dude, but we have no ******* clue how much"?

And I am sorry, but it is not a dead meme, it is a very true one. How much of a difference matters or not has never made sense, and saying "this dude is way stronger" can be done much easier.
 
There is no CRT to make in the first place, he's simply relying on the fact that Dodoria had 21k and Vegeta 24k when he killed him casually, which doesn't matter because we have never used power levels as any reliable measurement for exact scaling.

Which is my only point, because it means Cole isn't getting vaped at all.
