Kassadin and Malzahar tier discussion (and incorrect Kassadin profile texts)

Both Kassadin and Malzahar were previously humans that were altered by the void. In one of their lores, it is explained that Kassadin, along with his community of preservers, aims to stop beings such as Cho'gath, Malzahar (along with his cultists and Kog'maw), Kha'zix, Vel'koz, and pretty much any other void-ling creature.

Why this is important for discussing their tiers:

Cho'gath is a monster that is constantly growing in strength the more he devours foes. He is currently listed as likely being higher than Multi-city block level (even higher at his maximum potential). Kassadin has shown an ability to grow in power (which is actually listed in his attack potentency) the more excess magic power he absorbs (whether from his enemies or from his own attacks), and he is stated to be almost alone in his efforts to fight off the void creatures (the preservers are mentioned, but how useful they are in combative ability or if they are even combative is unknown to me). This means that he should scale to Cho'gath via power-scaling.

Kassadin's original kit (and even his new kit) suggests that, while he absorbed magic power in combat, he would increase his combat speed (his original passive gave him attack speed for each magical attack he absorbed from an enemy, lasting a few seconds and stacking up to 4 or 5 times), resistance to magical attacks (new Q passive and his old and new inert passive granting him increased defenses towards magical based attacks), his attack power (gaining the ability to use Force Pulse, which is a wide range blast dealing significant damage and slowing his enemies -- His riftwalk doubles in power each time he uses it. The power spike lasts for 15 seconds and the timer resets each time he uses rift walk), and potentially other stats that i may have forgotten.

Before discussing where he should be sitting in terms of attack potency and other stats, there is a problem that should be adressed: the profile lists that Kassadin's force pulse destroyed a portion of a Zaunite power-plant, but that is inaccurate. This is what is stated in the wikia for Volume 1 Issue 14

Kassadin's void blast (which is likely Null Sphere and not Force Pulse) was drawn towards Malzahar's sacrificial dagger. There is also the suggestion that the void energy was mitigated drastically by the power node that was close by.

Kassadin's tier should be listed as beig "At least 8-A normally, likely higher with full power" due to power-scaling to Cho'gath, his blast being stated to have been somewhat mitigated due to Malzahar's dagger opening a portal to the void and the power node absorbing "the majority of the blast", and that his kit suggests that his power multiplies a few times over while in combat.

His Durability should be listed as "at least Multi-city block level, higher when taking magical attacks" due to his abilities granting him strong resistance to magical attacks (taking 15% reduced damage passively and having the ability to create a spell shield).

Kassadin should have teleportation in space listed under speed (i know it is listed in Powers and Abilities, but his travel speed should include instantaneous movement over a distance with Riftwalk). His combat speed should be fine since his "attack speed" buff was removed a while back.

Malzahar powerscales to Kassadin since they are both depicted as being equal in power, so at least his Attack Potency and Durability should be scalable to Kassadin's maximum capacity.

That copy and paste from the wikia is so hard to see... oops... removing it but leaving the link to the source.

So just remove the JoJ reference, add "At least" to his AP and Durability, and add "Instantaneous" speed for his Riftwalk, and then scale Malz to Kass except for his speed?

it honestly depends how you see Kassadin's AP with rift walk and force pulse.

I don't want to remove the JoJ reference, i would like to revise it since it is inaccurate in stating that Force Pulse was used on Malzahar, but was a projectile blast (which suggests that it was Null Sphere).

His Null Sphere destroyed a large area, but it was stated that a nearby power-node absorbed his blast, but there were pulses that were generated that ended up damaging the area from what was left from the blast. The blast was missing some of its original power according to the wikia.

He should normally be "At least 8-A", but his full powered attacks should "likely be higher" since rift-walk is supposed to increase in power by a vast amount (used to be indefinitely until Kassadin ran out of mana, but now it is limited to 4 stacks, which still triples his normal rift-walk attack power). He should probably be in the small town area at full power.

His durability towards magic attacks should be increased since his powers revolve around absorbing magical attacks directly and using his excess energy to create magical barriers to mitigate damage from magic. His normal durability should likely scale to being "at least" the current value.

Malzahar would scale close to Kassadin's Maximum AP and Durability (he uses magic but can still effectively damage Kassadin and take hits from him)

By the way, since there are keys for champion skins, should Kassadin receive a key for Pre-void and Cosmic reaver?

Ok, i'm fine with revising the feat and adjusting his AP to "At least 8-A", "likely be higher" at full power, and "At least MCB", "Higher" against magic attacks. And yes, Malzahar would close to Kassadin stats.

Sadly though I don't think having sections for Pre-Void or Cosmic reaver Kass would work since we don't have any feats or even quotes or statements to go off of that could be translated into stats. It's a similar situation for how Dark Star Varus didn't receive a separate section while Dark Star Thresh did.

I could do the revisions if you want since I can find most of the sources.

I believe Pre-void Kassadin should be scalable to most human champions.

He was a wandering mage that was interested in learning about secret or forbidden magics. He could scale to people like Fiora since he was strong enough to ward off the Void's influence on his mind (despite his physical appearance and magical powers being somewhat altered by it).

edit: Also, icathia only revealed itself to him and Malzahar (no one else... Malzahar is suggested to have been a very powerful seer before ever going to Icathia. He was highly regarded in Shurima).

Pre-void Kassadin could be "Probably 8-A via powerscaling".

I see why the cosmic skin would be unlikely to get a key, but Cosmic Reaver Kassadin is depicted to throw galaxies at his opponents (Q is likely a multi-solar system level attack since it seems that he throws a blue star at his opponent from his palm, his E seems to generate galaxies due to what we can see of the vfx of the attack). His body also seems to be comprised of numerous galaxies when you look at his in-game model.

Cosmic Reaver Kassadin seems to have the potential to be listed as "3-B" since his durability should unquestionably be multi-galaxy level since that is what his body is clearly made of and that he can send such attacks with Force Pulse and Riftwalk in the skin.

Its ok, i'll take care of the revisions. I guess Pre-Void Kassadin would be ok since he's depicted as having the same abilities as his post-void form, just without the void alterations. I'm still not 100% sure about Cosmic Reaver though...those could very well be visual effects...i'd like to ask a few people before we make a final decision on that first if you don't mind.
