I probably should have done this earlier but Earthquakes got downgraded in a recent revision. This would effect all the 8-B characters in Sekiro as Earthquakes now either have to take place miles underground or be stated to be a certain magnitude in order to be verifiable. Anyone that scales to 8-B would be downgraded to 8-C.

Another thing is that Sekiro's low 7-B feat is probably unusable. I'm not actually to sure on this one since I've heard swinging around massive objects can still count towards a kinetic energy calc but many other people were saying no, so I'll let the thread decide if that feat is still usable or not. I don't know what these characters would scale to.

Just want to say I have class in thirty minutes and made this right now as I was just having a discussion about this and didn't want to wait till after class.

Link to the EQ revision please? Low 7B is still valid, the people saying no literally just have to go find the explicit quotes of DontTalks proposals.

Can you give me advice on how to find DontTalks proposal while I go find the Earthquake revision.

Actually no its not, not since we stopped allowing KE via swung weapons

Weapons of superhuman size is still KE applicable. I've made this distinction to you specifically since the example of this was, in fact, the difference between Bloodborne and Sekiro.

@Keeweed just read through his posts in the KE revision thread.

Ok.

What about the Earthquake part since that was the one I more cared about.

As for the EQ rating, suppose that can work here. Believe the snake shakes the entire canyon thing it lives in, but I have no idea if it is over a kilometer in size so I can agree to the downgrade on that end.

Is this the rule that allows kinetic energy in this case

"A certain character moves at a certain speed while carrying an object, that would require superhuman strength to be carried."

Or did I miss one. I know giant weapons were allowed for kinetic energy but I couldn't find were we officially put that rule down.

That's the one, yeah. Objects large enough to require superhuman strength are still considered valid based on that.

Ok then so all that is needed is downgrading the 8-B keys. The low 7-B keys seem like they are staying the same so that's good.

Yeah, with the EQ revisions I'm fine with 8-B going. And as stated above, Low 7-B is staying.

Only thing you can't use KE for is small objects. Giant objects absolutely count for KE calcs like DT said.

Other than that 8-B can prolly go.

Can we calc the size of the Serpent so we can at least assign it a tier?

Bump.

Is a calc group open to lending a hand in this trying time?

You can ask a few of them directly to comment here via their message walls.

That is probably fine then, but the calculation needs to be evaluated first.

The calc got accepted, so 8-B is maintained!

Speaking of Sekiro downgrades, there is an ambiguity regarding Wolf's resurrection. Lets say he gets a mutilating injury like getting beheaded or bisected vertically; does he regenerate instantly? Resurrect with a regenerated body elsewhere (as implied by game mechanics, although it is not confirmed to be part of lore like in other Souls games)? Does he get KO'd for more than one hour as he regenerates severe injuries slowly?

Wolf has an anti-feat of not regenerating his arm after resurrecting (and if his arm's Regenerationn's can be physically 'blocked' by attaching wood, the Regenerationn of the rest of his body can be physically 'blocked' as well). According to the Resurrection page, we shouldn't assume that a character can resurrect in a combat-applicable way regardless of the way they are killed just because they resurrected before.

Currently, it is often argued in versus threads that Wolf's resurrection allows him to regenerate instantly on the spot regardless of how he was killed.

Wolf teleporting back to an idol after death is game mechanics. Nowhere in lore does it state how he ends up back there, and it doesn't explain the respawning of enemies.

Unlike in Dark Souls, where the whole "light is time" thing could give a possible correlation with the respawning of enemies.

If Wolf loses a limb, he should resurrect with it. He only obtains the Dragon's Heritage after getting his prosthetic so it makes sense.

But Wolf obtained The Dragon's Heritage three years before the events of the game, when he died in the Hirata Estate (After defeating Lady Butterfly there is even a scene where Kuro gets to Wolf's corpse and says: "You have fought bravely on my behalf. I cannot throw away such loyalty. Loyal Wolf, take my blood and live again."). However Wolf gains partial amnesia and only dies again after he got the prosthetic. For the first gameplay death Kuro is heard saying "Loyal Wolf, take my blood and live again", which is a call back to the Hirata State; it is not like Kuro is omniscient with telepathic powers, or that he can perform the Immortal Oath to give immortality to people from a distance.

To be fair, most of the enemy respawns can be explained by replacement guards being deployed (It is implied that Wolf weakened Ashina enough to be invaded by killing so many commanders and soldiers).

That doesn't make sense, Wolf already had his prosthetic and immortality when he went back in time.

Thank you for helping out. Is there anything left to do here?

Not really. The resurrection issue can be solved on another thread. This thread can be closed.
