Regarding Discussion on the Rule Violation Thread

So, this has been a issue for some time, and I want to address this issue once and for all. Report discussion has always been a taboo topic on the rule violation thread itself. However, numerous users have raised concerns that the current method of dealing with this stifles actual discussion and encourages false reports. Whether or not this was intentional, it causes it to be very difficult to determine any actual validity to certain reports and makes scrutiny difficult. For this reason, I propose that we have a thread to discuss bans and reports separately. This gives more space to discuss the issues themselves without cluttering the actual reports.

I'm alright with it either being on a separate thread or on the RV thread, I just want it to be okay for people to discuss whether or not a report was valid.

Just popping in to say I believe I suggested this and had it rejected before. I don't remember why, though.

I believe the reason it was rejected would be that it was easier to manage one thread than it was to manage two at once.

Yes. It is too complicated to constantly split a discussion in half.
