Daichi Shijima Stats and Tier (Base)

It's a question about a certain character from SMT: Devil Survivor 2, that appeared after discussing in a VS Match against another tier 8 character.

Daichi's base speed is listed as Massively FTL+ because he reacted to SMT Beelzebub's attacks.

However, Beelzebub himself has Immeasurable Speed and is at least 2-A in tier with a durability of Multiverse Level+ to Base Daichi's Multi-City Block AP.

Should base Daichi get an upgrade in speed and/or AP? Or is the fact that he managed to fight Beelzebub atributed to hax and the The_Shining_One also being there to defeat Beelzebub in the game?
 
For the MFTL+ part, Beezulbub and the other SMT beings was listed at MFTL+ due to ThanatoSeraph's calculation but it got upgraded to Immersurable since Hitoshura and Lucifer was able to move freely in a infinite void in which the concept of time is dead (because Hitoshura killed it)

I was once has this disscussion with another member about the "base stats" of the DeSu2 characters.

Like what you see in the discussion, me and Blahh decided to place them at tier 8 in order to make the stat consistent to the story.

If we put Daichi and the others at At least 2-A then i would make no sense since Arcturus failed to destroy a city. The best thing he can do is speed up the void to swallow the city. If he actually has the power to destroy the universes then destroying a city would be no problem.

What more ? the administrators "base" power shouldnt be higher than the Akashic Record, which we placed at 2-B or higher.

That said, thank to you. I think i will make some speed revision thread (downgrade) for the DeSu2 in the future
 
Thanks for clarifying! Now that that's settled, I can understand and tell why he's at tier 8 and where he got his speed from in the other thread. :D
 
Also, one more question.

I understand that Beelzebub's fight is an extra one and might be inconsistent, but Daichi's base speed can't be scaled to the likes of Polaris with Akashic Records because he's nigh-omnipresent or something?

(I'd say something about fighting Shiva, which does make part of the main history as you can get Daichi in the AO route, buuut... He's 2-A and Multiversal as well. Damn it.)

Nope, the Akashic Record users are Nigh-omnipresent within the multiverse. But the Akasha Stratum is pretty much seperated from it so yeah, we cant scail the characters to Polaris's omnipresent :p

No =_= Although i'm a big fan of Megaten franchise, but i will alway admit that it has a GIGANTIC problem with the powerscailing. Hell, most of the cosmic entities are power scailed to a giant Disco Ball , only a few beings are having their own on-screen feat like Mem Aleph, Kagutsuchi, entities from DeSu2,ect...

That said, if the feats are some how contradict to the main story, i wont considering it as a part of the game.
 
Hey MagiSinbad, should we be scaling DeSu 2 demons to feats in the rest of MegaTen? Back when I first suggested the scaling I was still a bit confused on the DeSu 2 being a separate multiverse thing.

If not then we could still scale them to Kama's arrow, which fired from Sapporo to Nagoya in 30 seconds, and maybe Shiva's Pasupata which traveled the same distance in 5, probably less seeing as Kama didn't seem to have time to fall away from Alioth's core.

Nah, The problem is, DeSu2 doesnt focus on the deties of Megaten like DeSu1. It's about a bunch of freaking alien trying to destroy the world. So it's kinda inconsistent when scailed to the feats from Megaten. Heh, i dont see why this is neccessary anyway, DeSu2 is currently the strongest title of Megaten franchise. o3o

This is not the first time SMT introduces the multiple multiverses though o3o

SMT 3 - Amala Multiverse (currently, got destroyed by Hitoshura in TDE)

SMT SJ -Schwazwelt Multiverse (from what i've heard, it got destroyed in the neutral route)

SMT Digital Devil Saga : multiple universes ( well, just digging some of the DDS cutscences lately, i found this )

Shiva's Pasupata feat is good enough, but i kinda horrible with the calculation so you may wanna ask some Mod to make the calc ^__^"

Off topic : do you play any other SMT games other than DeSu ? ovo
 
Alright, I'll try making a blog then.

I've played all the ones on 3ds and DS (so desu 1, 2, OC, and BR; Persona Q; strange journey; 4; and Soul Hackers), and I played one of the demikids games. But I'm not a very good gamer, and I'm not able to spend a ton of time gaming (which is why I've only played portable ones), so I haven't beaten any other than the DeSu games.
