Kurumi Tokisaki vs The Ancestor (Darkest Dungeon)

Iirc Ancestor stars with duplication first and then does other stuff, I thought about using Kurumi mostly cause Ancestor doesn't resist time stuff. Though I know next to nothing about the latter, need to get round to looking at date a live

Oh that helps.

Okay, so Kurumi's life Drain is useless because Ancestor is immortal, so the best bet is using Aleph to blitz him and kill him. However Ancestors duplication will give Kurumi a challenge in how many she has to deal with, but given the massive speed amp she gets she can likely kill him

If she doesn't however, he will use Flay, which will disintegrate her instantly.

However, since her first move is life draining while Ancestor is duplication, Ancestor can likely figure out "Hey letting this girl gain a power from the clock behind her is a bad idea, and Flay.

I'm inclined to lean more towards Ancestor taking it due to his Flaying and resistance to her leading move.

Huh the coma sleep ain't gonna fly? That said yeah speed blitz is a very viable tactic against Ancestor, cause if he's blitzed then he won't be able to do his madness stuff as he reserves that for later.

Type 1 immortality nopes it, draining life to knock out someone won't work against infinite life.

I've noticed people not taking Kurumi's own clones into account and her body hopping often meaning death for her often doesn't stick easy.
Ancestor raises his hand and kills them.

And she'll keep coming back until she says **** it and drops a spacequake. Kurumi has been show to have anywhere ranging from thousands to even millions of bodies and her body hopping is instantaneous (Getting decapitated from behind by Mana catching her off guard resulted still resulted in the mantle of main Kurumi getting transfered to another body).

Kurumi is also one of the few characters in series to not mind dropping a Spacequake in the general area if need be.

The clones are moot, only the real Kurumi can use Zafkiel and if that one dies, they all do.

Zafkiel has never shown to go to another body after the true Kurumi dies. Even then it took an ENTIRE day for Kurjmi to come back, so it's inapplicable.

No in both the anime and LN Shido talks with the main Kurumi who holds Zaphkiel who then get's decapitated from behind by Mana.

"Faint, it was a faint sound. The Kurumi, who had been conversing with Shidou, had her head thrown into the sky.

"Eh…?"

It was sudden, and Shidou didn't understand what had happen in that moment, aside from a low sound.

Then, the place where Kurumi's brain was supposed to be began to spray out blood like a fountain, staining Shidou red. At this moment, Shidou's brain finally registered what had happened.

"Uu—uwaaaaaa!?"

Shidou screamed loudly as he fell to the ground. At the same time, Kurumi's body fell to the ground like a lifeless puppet.

"Ku, Kurumi! Kurumi!"

It was clear that there was no hope, yet Shidou continued to run towards Kurumi. The brainless body continued to convulse as it created a red puddle on the floor.

...

Mana had a face of surprise. Then, the shadow on the walls of the building began to widen, revealing Kurumi's crooked smile. At the same time, the fallen Kurumi's body was absorbed by the shadows.

"Kehehe, your greeting style is as unrefined as ever."

"Kurumi…! Are you alright!?"

"Eh. It cannot be, do you think that something like this would be enough to kill me?"

It seems she had exchanged places with her clone. Kurumi smiled as she touched her hand with her finger. Mana let out a "tch" in spite."

The new main then appears from a wall after.

It's shown earlier in the anime and or LN that the decapited Kurumi is a main one due to her use of Zaphkiel earlier.

Well, i've not enough time to wait other days to votes so i guess i'll make a single reply of my vote.

>Ancestor Raise his hand

Likely hundreds of meters normally (Affects party members who specialize in ranged combat with arbalests and guns with his magic).

This is not gonna work against Kurumi who is at 4 Kilometers away.

>Ancestor's Duplication

Ancestor will have a really bad time with Kurumi's Clones insteads, firstly her clone spawn is probably much faster and the numbers of them is at least 500 to 1000, the duplication will not stop if the Original Kurumi didn't die (In the novel, it's explained that each clones make another clones infinitely), Kurumi's clones have High 7-A bullets, fly in every direction and have her exact physical strenght. But to add more things, If Kurumi use Aleph on her (Time acceleration, all the clones are accelerated (She used this tactics against Miku, Kaguya, Yuzuru and Yoshinio)

Also, Clones are able to throw an enormous number of bullet at once:

As the DEM wizards and <Bandersnatch> fired their magic cannons and mini missiles, they managed to hit some of the Kurumi clones in the surroundings, as well as the tiled ground and buildings around it. With every explosion, a shrieking laughter could be heard, as the shape of Kurumi's body was thrown about everywhere like debris.
But, in the midst of the explosion, black bullets were fired toward the sky, hitting the wizards in their units and the <Bandersnatch> in the brains.

It was an unimaginable and complicated fight. The wizards used all their strength, descending into the rain of a million bullets at once, fighting against the limitless incarnation of a nightmare from the shadows. Both sides continued their slaughter mercilessly. If Shidou were to step into this fight, it would be difficult trying to put his body together for a funeral.
~ DAL Volume 7
Those point aside let's talk about Some Kurumi's tactics as win-con:

The Usual tactics against Spirits and Quasi spirits is the Time Blitz with Time acceleration, firstly, she is able to time accelerate to a point where 500 Opponents with a view from the sky can't even see her moving and 1000 have trouble (yea she is against 1500 Quasi-Spirits)

She can also use this tactics to use Bet, the second bullet to drastically slow down the opponent, This combinaison of Acceleration is also used to BFR strong opponent when she has trouble to kill them

Also, Kurumi don't recklessly go to kill the opponent, she can also throw clones (the number is above 500) and hide herself to kill the opponent from a Shadow at point Blank (she used this to steal westcott's Sephira and against Tsuan), she close the distance by travelling throught shadow and attack at point Blank.

She has also the ability to "send a message to the opponent's head in a future timeline to cause him sucide and resulting to the sucide of the present opponent.

And her survival ability can be taked into account, i've forgot that Kurumi can Swap her with a clone to avoid of being killed, she used it instantanously when she was about to be killed by Mana, against Inverse Origami in Volume 11 and finally against Mio.

Well, it took me a lot of time to write this so let's summary:

Kurumi has probably more chance of winning, she can clones herself which are identical copy of herself, can time accelerate her and her clones by the way and kill the opponent without letting him do some action which could be make Kurumi in difficulty. She has also way to close the distance to the opponent and attack him from shadows, if one bullet reache TA, he lose since she always use Time Stopping bullet or time slow. she can also BFR him from his own shadow, in a place where power can't be used and without oxygens. She can also body swapping if she is about to die to the "raise his hand" things

Bref my vote go for Kurumi.

Why would she be 4 Kilometers away? She's hundreds of meters with anything that isn't Raisel which is info analysis.

I don't think those High 7-A bullets are allowed. OP said Low 7-C.

Well since it's a match created before Kurumi's revision, I guess I'll stay with Low 7-C AP. but sadly that's probably don't change my post above.

I've forgot that Kurumi's clones can use Spacequake too, just to add this to my post above, this is probably my last post on this thread.
