(GRACE) Phoenix vs. Pong rematch

While I question the original verdict of 'yeets Pong Paddle until it breaks' because of Pong Paddle's inorganic physiology, does the outcome really change on this one?

Phoenix is decently into 9-B thanks to the car crash right? While Pong Paddle and its summons are pretty generic and likely baseline (I have no idea what to call a Polar Bear exactly, our only feats seem to be fighting Walruses who can drown people and are large bois)

Pong Paddle has options for controlling the battlefield, possibly, and ranging and attack reflection options, and its rubbery body makes it hard to 'yeet until it breaks', but it's still generously overpowered AP wise IIRC. Taking out Phoenix seems like something it can't do, and only just slow down and inconvenience him.

Phoenix is like

200 MJ at most.

Hes not gonna handle all of those creatures easily

Oh thank god, you had the crap scared out of me there. I was flipping between the Phoenix Wright Calc, the Attack Potency page, and my calculator trying to see where I went wrong.

But, okay, I think I was overestimating Phoenix just a bit there then, I'm not sure where I got the mental image that he was outpacing things like the Polar Bear by that much of a degree.

So Phoenix is pretty on par with the Polar Bear, and the King Kong and Seal summon shouldn't be all that farther behind since they can keep up. And King Kong is basically just a really big gorilla.

So Phoenix is outnumbered by 4 opponents that are pretty comparable to him, two of them have attack reflection, and the main opponent to beat can manipulate the shape of the battlefield and has a rubbery and inorganic physiology that bounces back from blunt force, and a minor speed boost ability. That's a lot to take on.

Phoenix is incredibly smart though, and has a whole 10 hours to prepare which is a generous timeframe. I'm not sure I can make a call just yet without sitting on it.

You think I should change the scenario a little or..?

Bear in mind Phoenix doesn't really have much fighting experience so its gonna be difficult for him to take down a darn gorilla, and even then there's only so much he can do with prep time

The scenario seems fine, at least I think? A gorilla and polar bear are honestly stupidly big deals, especially if they're on the same side against you (I love the Seal summon, but I'll be honest, he's just there for moral support and attack reflection more than action)

It's just I'm not sure what all Phoenix might have access to in that 10 hours, since that IS a lot of time, that might be able to allow him to fight back despite being a lawyer who's suddenly fighting a zoo and a rubber stick.

He's not going to die instantly, he's certainly tough enough to stay in there, so if that prep is used well it might give him an option or a way to stay safe despite his lack of experience and being outnumbered. The issue is I don't know AA well enough and I don't want to completely discredit Phoenix's chances here.

...But I'll admit, just looking through his evidence options, not looking fantastic...

I know ace attorney well enough. Phoenix is smart but not in a combat sense so I don't see him making massive preparations, and any evidence he can *easily* get his hands on isn't gonna do much against a gorilla or a polar bear, not to mention Phoenix doesn't know how to use guns, and the process of buying a gun takes a while iirc.

Honestly don't think he'd be able to pack enough firepower to make a difference. He definitely isn't pulling out an assault rifle.

The more I look over the list, a lot of his actually combative options seem to be blunt force or things he can swing to defend himself.

Which, against a Polar Bear and Gorilla he's equal to, aren't great options, but Pong Paddle bounces back like rubber, so even if Phoenix gets to hit him, a lot of his evidence will have a reduced effect against it.

I'm starting to see your point, this evidence list is huge, but not nearly as useful as I was thinking it would be...

Pong for now, I'll see if anyone can pull together possible gear lists that turn this around.

Phoenix got downgraded a lot.

Abilities were lost, AP knocked down from two megajoules to like 200 kJ. Lotsa stiff

The car feat? Didn't you do that? That's what I've seen is typically accepted. If anything, the feat actually should be a decent bit higher since the resulting hit caused the side mirror to come off iirc. That's actually something I have been meaning to look into As well. See if there's a more exact area that speed would hit.

Actually if you look in the comments someone redid the calc in a better way and got 220kj.

Pong FRA. Grace begins

Doesn't it feel cathartic when page-long victories of a character is taken away as they get their first loss?

I mean, Feenie WAS wanked at the time, and I guess this feels right that we found the truth about him.

I know this is already over. But Phoenix should have take. It. Most animals are in the 100,000 area. Phoenix is pretty close to being twice as strong as the animals. They are not as strong as him. Like said above. And he has a sword (with prep in evidence). close to being twice as strong as the animals, and physically stronger than them lifting wise. And a sword which can pierce them easily, especially at his strength. Plus the fact he had prep. He really should have taken it.

(And That car feat is downplayed if using 220 KJ. That car hit hard enough that it's mirrors come off. That is easily enough to assume the higher ends)

And He was not wanked. All the Calcs and such were accurate and it had early been agreed it was fine for him to have his anime.
