Yujiro Hanma vs The Leper (Darkest Dungeon) - 2 votes needed

While The Leper is stronger and has more range, Yujiro is much more versatile and has many other advantages as well.

  • Yujiro is more skilled and has more techniques at his disposal
  • Yujiro is much stronger (At least Class 1 versus At least Class 25, possibly Class 50)
  • Yujiro can predict what The Leper might do next
  • Yujiro can paralyze The Leper with pressure point strikes
  • Yujiro can attack in between the time it takes for The Leper to think of an attack and actualy perform it due to .5 second unconscious
  • Yujiro has much more stamina
  • Yujiro has been shown to easily destroy body armor with his attacks
  • Yujiro is much more intelligent (Above Average vs Genius)
So my vote is for Yujiro
 
Agreed with Ant, very few people on Yujiro's AP level can actually compete with him due to Yujiro's unmatched skill and insane variety of abilities. Yujiro takes this.
 
I feel like some points for Yujiro are vastly irrelevant (Lifting Strength for example?)

Paralysis is also nigh-moot on a dude literally covered head to toe with armor.

Yujiro's attack speed isn't that fast, it seems, due to speed equal. They can think that fast though.

Yujiro may destroy armor, but even stronger people don't destroy Leper's, so that's no.

Intelligence is less relevant.

I'm also questioning the whole "Yujiro is more skilled because they know more techniques". A master of five moves vs one who is decent at two hundred would have the master win, surely.

My vote goes to Leper, then, for these reasons: Leper has AP advantage, slight range, can heal himself, and has the equivalent of a lifetime of experience going by the Crusader's lore.
 
Yujiro isn't "decent", he can literally master a martial art only by seeing it being used once, iirc.

Imo, the other points you made don't give Yujiro's advantages a run for their money. Voting Yujiro.
 
That's alright then. But I should note a master of one fighting style can be equally as skilled as a master of many.

Fair, I guess if you don't want to debate them you can freely ignore them.
 
I am interested in the armor one tho. Where did stronger people ever fail to destroy Leper's armor? Shouldn't his armor already be included in his durability feats? I've never played Darkest Dungeon, mind you.
 
I figured you hadn't. Basically your characters in Darkest Dungeon aren't the strongest fellas in the verse, it's relatively common to just be ragdolled by your enemies. Even when they slaughter you and potentially even flay you alive you stuff is still okay (for the flaying bit, see The Ancestor).
 
If this were a more important match I feel like I'd be more compelled to point out that nobody has countered anything I said which effectively nullifies everything Yujiro had

At this point, it's literally out of character for Yujiro to loose against someone on his level. If the odds are even...well they actually aren't since Yujiro will pull out some bs Hanma power out of his rear. That's excluding Akuma of course, since Akuma is even more wanked than he is.
 
There's nothing at all saying Yujiro can't destroy armour. His piercing attacks are just as strong as his blunt attacks.

The fact that you question Yujiro's skill in the slightest Bambu shows me you know nothing about him outside of his profile. He is a MASTER in almost every martial art, and has grossly out skilled masters of many different arts before. He was even able to master a martial art style that took Kaku Kaioh dozens of years to master in just a few seconds.

In a battle with two characters who are close in AP and equal in speed, intellect and skill are huge factors. So yes, Yujiro being smarter is a point for him.

Lastly, your point on speed once again shows a lack of knowledge on Baki as a whole. The 5 second unconsciousness is able to let Yujiro attack someone before they can even process that he's attacked them. Basically, equal speed doesn't mean anything to Yujiro as he can still attack you before you can react.

You gonna stop throwing a fit now Bambu?
