I've been in the mood of making a lot of matches and right now and I can't decide whether I like Mob Psycho 100 or My Hero Academia more. Regardless these two are badasses that need to clash!

Speed NOT Equalized. Fight takes place at New York City.

Mirio Togata: 0

Ryo Shimazaki: 7

Inconclusive: 0

Don't think so, his intangibility definitely shouldn't be selective like that

Are we back? Is the wiki working again? Anyway,

It absolutly is though. He can throw a punch through an opponents block then make just his fist tangeble on the otherside to deliver a punch.

>Can read the movements of his opponents to predict their next move

Oh yeah? That's gonna let him tell when Mirio becomes tangeble?

EDIT: Mirio's also likely to just fall into the floor and then launch himself outta the ground right into Ryo as an attack.

Considering his precog allowed him to easily dodge bullets, this should be the same situation.

Regardless, Mirio is very potent and can easily get through his barrier if Mirio figured it out. But on the first place Ryo always goes for hit and run. I don't think it'll take very long for him to realize that Mirio isn't always tangible.

Excellent battle btw OP

Mirio blizes ~ 400 m/s while Ryo is casually ~ 200 m/s, so he should only be with around a 2x advantage here, IMO. Which isn't much when Ryo can predict movements. Ryo also blitzes people who can keep up with him using Mind's Eye, so there's that too.

Ryo's ESP hard-counter's Mirio's surprise-based strategy; if he tries to duck into solid material Ryo notices and nukes it before he can reach Ryo. Thought-based teleportation means that even if Mirio gets close Ryo yeets behind him and kicks him into next tuesday. Not to mention if Ryo gets a grab in; he can teleport Mirio mid-air and take his entire strategy out of the equation and kick him around with TK.

This will likely be a long, drawn-out battle that will frustrate Ryo enough to deploy Mind's Eye, at which point he disposes of Mirio.

Voting Ryo.

@Dargoo isn't Mind's Eye useless on non-espers? Which is why Reigen was able to sucker punch Ryo?

Mind's Eye's focus can be selected. Ryo was keeping track of so many people at once and selectively ignored any commoners in order to further amp himself up. Against Mirio who's only a single person, he just had to focus on him.

That said I think verse equalization might make it so Quirk users are noticeable to espers

I am not sure, Quirks are a genetic phenomenom and if Espers are more supernatural/Spiritual in nature then verse equalization won't come in

Idk. Either way anything not normal is gonna be detected. But even if that wasn't there, Ryo would still be able to keep track of Mirio

Quirks are part of literally 80% percent of the human population and have been implied to be related to evolution more than the presence of anything supernatural, I really don't know if it should qualify as "not normal"

Mind's Eye doesn't only function on espers unless Ryo wills it to. He could just focus his 'antennae' on Mirio's person while tuning out everything else.

Quirks shouldn't equalize to psychic abilities or any of the stuff psychic powers interact with even with generous equalization.

That put Ryo doesn't need to focus on Mirio due to him being a quirk user, he just needs to focus Mind's Eye on him normally; he shouldn't have any issue using it to focus on a regular person.

"Super Sensory "Mind's Eye" makes him unable to sense non-psychic attacks. "

That's on Ryo's profile under his weakness section.

One of Ryo's general weakness is that attacks he can't precog/catch him by surprise are far more damaging. Mind's eye allows him to focus entirely on one thing, and at that point he was focusing entirely on psychic energy, that's why he couldn't sense reigen.

He has shown his precog can work even on bullets, so focusing on Mirio is possible.

It would be a long battle, but since its a 1vs1 Ryo should take this through Mind's eye

It's basically the same as that one Gantz Nurahiyon mission, where the enemy can keep somehow adapting and evolving through numerous attacks and only lost because he didn't see where the enemies are attacking from. Kinda weird honestly

But yeah the whole weakness thing should be edited

My boo, then. In that specific instance yes, but not as a rule of thumb, no.

IDK if I should make a CRT just for that minor wording mistake, if there's anyone here who has issues with the fix I can discuss it.

And that's grace. Personally I believe Ryo doesn't sense non-psychic attacks with Mind's Eye as that's how interpreted the scene. I'll rewatch it and see if I get anything different.

Ok just rewatched the scene. In order to activate Mind's Eye Ryo has to focus and concentrate completely on espers and blocks everything else, which is symbolized by pure darkness and things that don't have psychic energy fading away such as an eagle and ants. It was only after these conditions were met that he was able to activate the power.

Furthermore as we see the pure darkness Mob comes in illuminating the darkness with his powers, representing that Ryo can see him. Ryo is shocked that he cannot see Reigen because he believes Reigen has powers, NOT because he believes Ryo does not. If Ryo had realized Reigen had no powers Ryo wouldn't have been as shocked.

Ryo doesn't sense non-psychic attacks primarily because he's focusing purely on psychic attacks, since his opponents are all, well, psychics.

Reigen caught him by surprise mainly because A) Gag and B) He wasn't expecting to fight anyone without psychic powers.

He will immediately tell whether Mirio has psychic abilities or not.

I'll just agree to disagree but it doesn't really matter since I'm the OP and can't (shouldn't?) vote. Regardless the match will be over soon.

obnoxious teleporting roleplayer dude fra *dodges*

At this point, somebody should put this on their respective pages. (GRACE)
