Battle for 5th Strongest 9-C: Protagonist vs Satan

"Classification: Master Sorcerer, Monarch of his Kingdom, Hierophant, Undead Spectre, Hierophant, as well as many more depending on ending"

Since Father Grief is being used here, Greif can sort of just smite them into ashes with some incantations.

Outside of that, Mesmerization fails, although it allows Parry to defend himself from mental attacks.

Parry also has a no u spell that was potent enough to cause the previous Satan to backfire a spell, although this was through exploiting a weakness. Said no u can also deflect projectiles like arrows. Still rather potent and has worked on most magic he's encountered. So if Parry can react whatever the protag casts is send back at him.

Transforming into animals can also help him maneuver around attacks and fly to meet the Protag in the air.

Also, does the smiting work on non-corporals?
Yes. It works on spirits and demons, both of which have selectively physical or nonphysical bodies.

I think it works on nonexistents too but that might just be me misremembering the book.

How quick are those incantations?
It's just him speaking/singing really. It's something that happens as he's doing it.

His cross also exorcises spirits/demons by touch, although IDK if the protag suffers from weaknesses like that.

Quick question.

The Protagonist only becomes a specter in certain endings, and I'm not certain on how we treat those here. Would he still have those powers?

If we're compositing the protag so they have all their powers, then they would still be a specter, no? Otherwise you'd have to specify which powerset they have.

Yeah, sort of. The moment he realizes he's dealing with a creature of hell he starts singing, which is something he does a metric ton after he becomes a preist, even as Satan.

iirc I need to add reality warping to his profile, as he weilds the Llano, which is like the Thu'um in ES where his voice alters the fabric of reality itself. That said his uses of it aren't as potent as Orb's until he becomes an incarnation.

I think the Spectre is the only thing that would necessarily be much different from the rest, though he could turn into anyway. Considering most of them aren't mutually exclusive, it's probably best composited.

A spectre isn't so much a creature from hell as a mutated soul

If it's considered "unholy" it would be affected by Perry's stuff, given again that such weaknesses are present in Choice of Magics.

I'm not sure. What's considered unholy and Holy is a real weird subject in Choice of Magics.
