So looks like our mad dad boi defeated our one dark boi, why not make another one but instead the fight is on lower level, not universal level, shall we?

I'm actually sad that the Darkrai vs Kratos thread passed under my nose all this time until after it concluded and closed before I can say anything.....RIP. I was gonna vote "God Slayer", anways xD.

Going back to main topic at hand...even with JUST Ascension key I do not see how Gengar has anything to put up against Kratos just spamming Arms Of Hades or Amulet of Uroborus's Time Stopping mechanics. Also, does Kratos have Non-Physical Interaction, or does the ability to hit Non-Corporeal beings already cover that somewhat?

okay then I don't see what Gengar can really do against Kratos, since I'm pretty sure the latter can just tank a lot of his stuff. Also, isn't it in-character for Kratos to use Time Stop early on?
 
Yea I don't see how Gengar can readily address anything Kratos does in-character. Unless he has Resistance to Time Stop or some sort of invulnerability.
 
It's in character for Ascension Kratos, but this is Chains of Olympus. In lore it's more in-character for him to use hax he has recently obtained (due to Ascension having come out 5 years later...), which'd be stuff like Charon's Wrath (Life Force Draining) or Light of Dawn (Holy Light that ignores durability of demonic creatures), so not quite something he'd lead with it.
 
Not gonna lie the fact that Gengar has the Self-Curer IQ skill means that a LOT of Kratos' hax arsenal is basically useless
