Seventeenth round of the High 8-C Brackets Begins (wooo, halfway though)! The winner of the last round was Kafuru.

Current Standings (A "-1" indicates the fighter was disqualified or was stomped)

Hub

The contenders for this round are Kei Kurono, submitted by Therefir/Flowery and Superman (Fleischer), submitted by Zark2099.

Kei w/ the Gantz suit is used. Speed is not equal, battle takes place in Metropolis, 10 meters apart.

Gantz is well above .83 Tons with 6 Ton weapons, while Supes has these feats.

Both of them can kind of one shot the other now that I think about it. Looking at Superman's feats he should be decently above baseline which is more than enough to kill a .8 Ton character in one or two hits.

I suppose in that case Kei's tech and skills gives him the crucial edge to win, although the battle will be short as heck.
 
Kei's Z gun is only 6 tons, meawhile Superman is slightly above baseline or > 2,

So how can Kai one-shot him since the strenght gap isn't even 3x ?
 
Overlord has a good point. If it comes down to who one shots first, Kei can't even do so. Has he one shot other High 8-Cs before with the weapons?
 
Not that I remember, but the Gantz Sword and the X-Weapons can one-shot Superman.

How ?

Their AP isn't even 3x the durability of Superman and the gap needed to One Shot is 7,5x
 
The Gantz Sword can cut through 6 tons characters and the X-Weapons ignore durability.
 
Kei can use the weapons in any key, and in most profiles the abilities/weapons that ignore durability are put at the end.
 
I mean

In character Supes goes for overpowering, unless I'm mistaken

So Kei yeets him via way higher AP.

Yeah, this was pretty decisive, bordering on stomp. His regen isn't combat applicable neither is there isn't any range on him nor any other hax.

Idk, is ranged Dura negation really fair in these brackets? You're basically turning every other character into a glass cannon

I wasn't aware Kei had ranged durability negation when I let him in, as it isn't present on his profile.

If it's true, and there's no way I can restrict it without invalidating the battles for profiles, he will sadly be disqualified.

I suppose it can be avoided like EMIYA Alter's NP from the 7-A brackets.
 
Let's keep him in because he could have an even match against Han Jee-Han who he's probably going to go against.
 
Kira was so efficient at pretending to have a daily life that a Gamer couldn't notice him leaving.


And yeah surprisingly Han can shake off that attack. Especially after the first hit too or warning detection.

But this is prob the second time Han is the one capable of dealing with another fighter that is disqualified level. First that girl from Anchel Beats, now my favorite bounty hunter.
