Many people may not realize it, but the things that they say to others have a rather unique power to them. They can be used to inform, argue, encourage or even command. And one slip of the tongue is enough to turn the best of friends into the worst of enemies, start wars instead of bringing peace, and even directly cost the lives of others. And our two combatants today are completely aware of the potential of words, and utilize them as weapons much the same as any blade or firearm. And while one uses her words to command others, the other uses his opponent's words into their own downfall. But, which weaponizer of language will take the victory? Today, we find out!

In the blue corner, we have Miyako Nekuni from Urami Koi, Koi, Urami Koi, and in the red corner, we have Hitoshi Shinsou from My Hero Academia.

Miyako Nekuni
Hitoshi Shinsou Anime Profile
-This is a battle to the death or incapacitation. Both are bloodlusted.
-Neither character are aware of each other beforehand, and there is no prep time.

-Neither character are allowed any outside help.

-This battle takes place in the arena from the U.A. Sports Festival, giving Hitoshi the technical home-field advantage.

-Speed is equalized.

With all this being said, let the debate begin!

Enforcement: 3 (Jackythejack, Moritzva, Xanxussama1010)

Brainwashing: 0

Inconclusive: 0

Miyako seems to have a better usage of her power since she can use it on inanimate objects.

What will Hitoshi ask her first? This seems like an incon for now but this ain't a vote btw because I need my question to be answered.

Probably a generic greeting such as, "Hey there. What's your name?" Or something like that.

Also, bump.

I personally see Miyako using her powers more efficiently than the hero in this situation. Her powers seem to be much more useful as she can just tell him to go die and he'll do it. This is a strange match to think about but I see Miyako being quick on the draw first, unless I misunderstood how their powers work.

I'll chalk up the vote for Miyako. It's unfortunate that most of the supporters for Urami Koi aren't around.

Question,

What commands are she likely to lead with?

Since Shinsou requires the opponent to talk first. If her first order isn't a lethal one, he'll make her go commit die afterwards.

It's been a while since I stopped reading Urami Koi (I'll probably reread it if it gets fully translated), but IIRC up to the point I read the series (stopped at the protagonists dealing with the tiger clan heiress), Miyako only had like two fights (against the rabbit clan heiress and against the ogre-possessed Ayaka).

The first one was against an opponent she wanted to punish, not kill, so the order was for her to grovel which failed due to magic earplugs so she pulled out the sword and after the fight is over made the heiress her minion with Execution of Enforcement. In the fight against possessed Ayaka the Execution of Enforcement wouldn't work because Ayaka was unconscious and thus couldn't hear and understand her orders, forcing her to rely in the sword again. So I think the closest thing to a "fight" with an enemy she wants to kill and is a valid target for her ability is when she finished off Touya's summon, which she once again did by using her sentient sword (despite seemingly giving an order to the summon and not the sword). So I'm not sure how she would start an actual fight against someone she's willing to kill if she doesn't already know her ability won't work, but it's possible she would first try to use her ability to disable them and then kill them with her sword.

Of course, a bloodlusted Miyako has no reason to not use her ability to try and force the enemy to kill themselves right away.

Oh, she's bloodlusted.

Yup. Rip. Vote Miyako.
