Sans has a durability negating damage advantage here and is smarter since Genius>Average, plus Soul Manipulation and unpredicability, so I vote him.

So, it's abilities, growl, tail whip, leer, focus energy, false swipe, and endeavor are useless. Belly drum and curse make sans' job easier.
Melee attacks like bone club, headbutt, rage, thrash, double-edge and bone-rush just ask to be danmaku'd to death.
Bonemerang and fling are more useful, but don't seem to be all that hard to dodge.
Ancient Power is much better, but can still be reasonably dodged.
Chip away seems very game mechanic related. It looks for an opening to work, but I don't see why it would stop someone from teleporting out. Or intercepting with a wall of bones.
Stomping tantrum is much more useful, and would likely do the trick.
Perish song causes either an inconclusive or a victory for sans so...
So yeah, going for sans due to the fact that the chances of mar using something that doesn't help are a bit too high to say inconclusive.

Hard to decide since Sans has the hax but Marowak has power, but Sans from what I remember is listed as not being even close in power but may have changed, think the power is gonna play a bigger role than people think, if Marowak lands one hit, regardless of Sans health, I'm torn between how much damage Sans abilities are gonna do to Marowak, and if Sans can manage to not get hit

Unless the pokemon has feats against souldestruction, a few seconds of being hit and it's dead.

I honestly think it's more likely Sans dodges and kills Marowak with SM...and the less likely where Marowak one-shots and kills Sans tenfold with a Bone Club
