High School D×D Discussion Thread #3

Vasco's face looks completely different from what I expected. From the descriptions about his smiling face, I thought he'd look like one of those old priests you'd normally see, but with a considerably buffed body. Turns out he looks more like a thug.

Issei vs Diehauser was always better compared to Issei vs Zeno, as far as Issei's considered. It'd lead to more development for him as a King and further enhance his reputation in the Underworld.

Gotta say; I was almost sure that Star Buster would defeat Sairaorg. But like I said, I'm glad for Sairaorg's victory on a personal level. It remains to be seen how Ishibumi will develop Star Buster. A top tier Longinus possessor can't end like this.

I am surprise to see Vasco and Crom Cruach illustration. Not what I expected.

Pretty much. Especially Vasco. I like Crom's illustration but I just have to...get used to Vasco's appearance.

It doesn't seem like the details of the match are out yet. She might have improved her BxB significantly and it could already block Rizevim's attacks in Volume 20, but Crom may not have used his maximum strength.
 
On a brief side note, current DxD illustrations aren't bad by any means. Putting the small number aside, I would say they are on par with the high time of the series' illustrations and certainly much better than that horrible period in Volumes 22 through 24.

However, am I the only one who thinks Slash Dog's illustrations, not only in the obvious quantity but also in terms of quality, are so much better than DxD's? And consistently at that. That one illustration with Kouki vs Byakko just was so spectacular, and the level is all around incredible.
 
I believe so too in regard to the illustration of Shin DxD 1 - 2.

But you are not alone about Slash Dog illustration that seem to be better than DxD and I think that maybe due some reason.
 
Tobio didn't get an illustration this time? Who's the person that comes before the Vali and Genbu illustration?

I'm thinking it's BxB Tobio. If that's the case, he looks a bit weird compared to his first BxB illustration.
 
It seems like Arjuna is in Indra's team. It'd have been interesting if Karna was part of Mahabali's and both faced off against each other.

I hope Indra doesn't use just enhanced weather manipulation though. We've seen enough of that.
 
I am pretty sure that's still BxB Tobio, even had the scythe with inscriptions on it. Just seems to be a more stabilized form, perhaps.

Indra had lightning but what interests me more is that he was described to use weapons too. I wonder which weapons they were and how they were used. For some reason I thought of a Fafnir-like gatling, which would be pretty sick.
 
It is Tobio BxB but more controlled. It would be even more awsome if he can somehow take the appearance of Kiba from Garo.

Indra Vajra is the equivalent to Zeus Keuranos. So it would be sick to see DxD version of it.
 
In game with Mahabali he use Lightnings and Akeno say that his lightning way above her and her fathers.

Shooting Star is 30 years old Wizard, Human-Devil hybrid but his devil blood a very weak.

Sairaorg defeat him in BtB and Shooting Star is completely no match for Sairaorg in physical combat and retire (need more details)
 
Humm, I would need more info about Indra in DxD 2.

Shooting Star is that type of guy?

Shooting Star should know better than play against Sairaorg on close combat.
 
Huh, I thought Star Buster would be a teenager.

At the same time, Regulus Nemea gives Sairaorg resistance to projectiles. Star Buster must have awakened his Longinus late if he had problems controlling it in this tournament.
 
Apparently, Rias fused with Gasper at the beginning so he likely didn't fight solo. That'd mean her stamina in the form has improved and I have to wonder if her power went up considerably as well, seeing as she fought Pseudo DxD Ise.
 
Well their fight were very short and Ise also was weakned from Dragon Slayer attacks from Kiba. Ise just dodge her blasts, dress break her, see that this is useless and when finish her with sucking her energy from breast and finish her with Breast Canon

Pseudo DxD G. Though Kiba feat new skill transform all his Dragon Knights into boosters on his arms and feets which increase his speed and attack power. Without it he couldn't damage Ise even with Gram and all Dragon Knights with holy dragon slayer swords
 
Yeah, I've seen it at animesuki. I like Akeno's ability to summon ghosts and imps from Japanese mythology. Fafnir is a monster when it comes to Asia as always.

But we really need info concerning these things related to Denpachi. Momoji, Kaede, Able; all of these are so confusing right now.

I feel really sorry for Grayfia. Now, who will be Issei's Queen? Perhaps Ingvild can strengthen him to overcome Worthless, and I've seen Rias and Tiamat being mentioned as well.
 
Grayfia upsetting Sirzech, her emotion is unstable at very time. She left Milicas just to chase Sirzech's word to make Ise become Satan/Maou

Since Grayfia wont participate from now on, she Would focus on raising milicas

It's from the multiplier above Prime Ddraig and Albion from Volume 11 where its weakened state is said to be twice as strong as both. I'm gonna change it to High 6-C though; apparently we can't jump two tiers with multipliers alone.

I hope we get something good for the Dragon Gods or they're gonna be put at High 6-C themselves later (when Issei and Vali reach that level) if we don't get decent quantifiable feats for them.
 
Since a mechanical being has already landed in the DxD universe, we can deduce that the bad guys from ExE will probably arrive much sooner than anticipated. At least, Regazeva and his underlings.

The tournament will probably end abruptly in the final.
 
No, it's only with promotion to Knight in base, Welsh Sonic Boost Knight in Triaina Knight, Star Sonic Booster in CxC, and Jet in all armored states. I don't think Divine Dividing halves speed either.
 
It actually does boost speed. This is from Volume 1, and a moment in which Issei was only promoted to Rook, not even Queen or Knight:

Save for stamina which is the cost for its functions, Boost increases all stats such as strength, demonic/magic power, durability and speed. All the basics, essentially. Divine Dividing should work in a parallel manner.
