So, I think everyone knows what the problem is with Thomas the Tank Engine fights. Thomas is stuck to a track, which means that unless specified heavily that they can't move so they have to take a hit, their opponent oftentimes just has to step off the track in order to win, if they don't just blast the tracks out themselves. In fact, the only feasible fights that have managed to take place so far are fights where Thomas' opponents literally can't move, such as SCP-173 or a Weeping Angel. However, I think this match will be more than feasable as well, as the opponent that will now attempt to stop the train has a history of jumping in front of fast-moving vehicles and attempting to punch them into submission. But will it be enough to stop this dank engine? Let's find out!

In the blue corner, we have Thomas The Tank Engine from the children's show of the same name, and in the red corner, we have Jibanya, the mascot of Yo-Kai Watch.

Jibanyan S
Thomas
-This fight is to the death or incapacitation. No holds barred.
-Neither character are aware of each other beforehand, and there is no prep time.

-Neither character are allowed any outside help.

-This fight takes place on some train tracks, obviously.

-Jibanyan S is being used in this fight, and Thomas is only going just fast enough to justify his 9-A ranking.

-Speed is not equalized. However, Jibanyan is given enough time due to distance to launch a counterattack.

With all this being said, let the debate begin!

Jibanyan is probably going to get upgraded once the calcs got through.
Really? Darn.

Well, until then, let's revel in this match while it still lasts.

That cat looks like he's going into Attack mode Ultra Instinct

Remember when that was a thing

As long as this match can be seen as legit, I'll continue to bump it.

Jib's fire manip would just smelt Thomas. He also has way more fighting experience, plus can inspirit him. My vote is Jibanyan.

Would Jibanyan's fire be hot enough to melt steel? And besides that, he usually attacks any fast moving vehicles head on, so using fire would be out of character for him in this instance, imo. Same thing with Inspiriting, to be frank.

I'll count your vote, but I do have issues with your reasoning.

"To the death or incapacitation. No holds barred."

Meaning Jibanyan can't just give up and leave here.

But...every time he fights a vehicle, he always fights it head on. Because he's trying to prove himself to his former owner who called him lame for getting run over. That's literally his whole schtick.

But semi trucks typically have a maximum speed of 70 M.P.H., and they typically don't go near this fast when Jibanyan fights them. Meanwhile, Thomas can go to about 100 M.P.H. in this scenario, and he will be going this fast when Jibanyan fights him. Even if we assume that the trucks are going max speed all the time, not only is Thomas going at about 1.5 times the speed of a normal truck, but he's also going to be much heavier, meaning he's carrying a lot more kinetic energy behind him than your average semi.

I'm not saying Jibanyan will not be able to handle it. I'm just saying that Thomas is a much bigger threat than any trucks Jibanyan has faced in the past.

Also, if Jibanyan stops after serious injury, like you're saying, then Thomas technically incapacitated him, and he'll come out the victor here, so...yeah.

I just realized Jib has only wall level durability. Changing my vote to DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DO DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO because he'll 1 shot him.

...So, I forgot this was a thing. But, since these supposed tier upgrades never happened, I'm bumping again.
