Thunder McQueen Vs. Wobbuffet

Wobbuffet doesn't reflect damage; it takes damage and then deals double back.

That aside, McQueen kills himself and Wobbuffet dies with him. Standard McQueen match
 
So he basically one shots himself or simply takes many hits to kill himself?
 
Drowns himself in a nearby body of water I guess? Wobbuffet won't be stopping him anytime soon
 
Can't he use Shadow Tag so McQueen can't run towards the water? Althrough without prior knowledge, Wobbuffet is probably gonna reflect an attack and do some severe damage, or something like that.
 
Well, Wobbufet´s Shadow Tag is passive and prevents his target from leaving, so he wouldn´t reallly be capable of doing that.
 
I'm too used to the mystery dungeon games where it's not passive mb.

Then he bites his tongue and dies that way. If Wobbuffet mirror coats then it only speeds up TMQ's death, and Wobbuffet dies too
 
I think if he couldn't move at all he'd eventually resort to biting his tongue or hitting himself hard

kys = kill yourself

I´m not saying kys to you, but explaining what it means.

Wobbuffet can counter it with Safeguard?
 
I wish we actually had an intelligence stat to Wobbuffet, because if he reflects an attack and damages McQueen, but doesn't one-shot, then Wobbuffet gets damaged as well, which would warn him of HtH's ability, but Wobbuffet might not be smart enough to figure it out.

Well, he is a Psychic type for a reason, so he should be smart enought for that.
 
Safeguard only counters Status Effect, so I don't think it would counter McQueen's Death Manipulation (unless there's a Pokémon move which uses Death Hax but can't get past Safeguard, althrough, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there is)

Well, I think Destiny Bond ignores Safeguard, so it would likely still work.
 
If Wobbuffet figures out how HtH works, then he could trap him with Shadow Tag and watch him so he wouldn't kys himself, if he does that for over a day, then he wins via incapacitation, althrough that would asume that McQueen doesn't die from the first hit, and that Wobbuffet is smart enough to find out how HtH works, so I'm really not sure how likely this is.
 
If he's actively watching and having to stop any attempts from McQueen of him killing himself that isn't a win via incapacitation.
 
That was CH with prep. Not sure how CH won that since i cba to read through 236 messages but I'm pretty sure CH won through some other form of incap

Because he could either give him a drug that made him euphoric and just throw him in a cell with no real restrictions
 
I don't really think there is any way for Wobbuffet to win this while both are in-character. To be frank, Wobbuffet's intelligence is a little questionable, and I don't believe it would take all of the proper countermeasures to ensure Thunder doesn't kill himself. He's essentially the Pokemon universe's punching bag, and I don't see how that would be any different here.

Inconclusive FRA.
