Ichigo possible limited resurrection?

I think Ichigo should have limited-ressurection on his profile,as you can see on these 2 scans below Ulquiorra killed him quite brutally.

I think he should have limited-ressurection because White via possessing his corpse took control of Ichigo due to his desire of wanting to protect Orihime.
Ulquiorra even comments wondering how he is still alive after he killed him.

Later after Ulquiorra broke his horn we see Ichigo's body once again lifeless, but White heals him and brings him back to life with Ichigo having no recollection of what just happened.

Copied cuz i'm lazy (still my post tho)

'I believe this established Orihime's limits:

"Those who have allowed too much time to pass since receiving fatal injuries, those whose souls that have been completely extinguished, and those who haven't even left a trace of themselves in the first place are all the likes of which Sōten Kisshun is helpless against." CFYOW Prologue 2

iirc she got there right after or just before Ulquiorra blew a hole in his chest meaning healing him should have been within her limits if he was still alive.'

Most likely because of Ulquiorra doing damage to him with power far greater than Orihimes. In fact, IIRC, when Orihime tried healing Ichigo before she had a harder time because there was spiritual pressure around his body that was too hard for her to take away immediately. But I forgot where this happened if it even took place.

Anyway, I don't see what Orihime not being able to revive him proves. Ichigo was never dead, he could have simply regenerated during the battle on his own. If nothing else, I can see Ichigo gaining either of these 2 types of Ressurections:

Resuscitation: The ability to bring back oneself or others from the brink of death or recent death. This frequently requires the revived person to have their body mostly intact.

Resurrection: The ability to revive one from the dead, even if their bodies have suffered significant damage that would make it impossible for them to function, such as a crushed heart or destroyed brain.

Nothing more than the latter.

This wouldn't be Regenerationn, as Ichigo had his heart destroyed. And we know for a fact Hollows don't have hearts, furthermore he actually maintained the Hole in his chest while in his Hollow form. It wasn't until his Hollow was dealt with when he regenerated. So it's a mixture of both Regenerationn and Resurrection, I'd suggest something like this. "Possible Limited Regenerationn and Resurrection"

0348-018
Ichigo has no notable Regenerationn without the hollow intervening,he has accelerated healing.White even stated in an earlier chapter he would take over Ichigo once he died.

He literally tells Ichigo "don't get killed" or he will take over and become the new king.

Later in the series he even confirms Ichigo died when asked. So yes Ichigo did die lol.

It should be a form of resurrection as Zangetsu said during the Visored training of chapters 220-225 that if Ichigo wishes to truly control his powers he must not try to get killed before they meet again or else he will take control. As we later see during chapters 349, Ichigo does apparently die as Zangetsu does take control which he foreshadowed he would do if Ichigo dies. And the next time they do meet during the Deicide mini arc of chapters 405-410, Zangetsu tells Ichigo again of his message, that he shouldn't have died. https://imgur.com/a/MqhgB

I agree with Frantzy. I'm actually surprised resurection isn't already on his profile as that ability has come up many times in the past in vs threads.

I disagree with "limited" though simply because there's no such existing sub category to my knowledge.

Yeah, it's only applicable to Ichigo post Visored training and it should be noted how powerful he is when it happens since Zangetsu is in control. Zangetsu alone is stronger than every Ichigo except Dangai, True Shikai and up. So while it is applicable to Dangai, True Shikai and up, he would resurrect as weaker since Zangetsu alone is weaker than Dangai, True Shikai and up since those versions of Ichigo are the culmination of Zangetsu, Old Man Zangetsu and Ichigo's innate power.

It isn't resurrection as much as it is just Regenerationn, Ichigo was still able to think after having a hole put through his chest, Zangetsu was just keeping him alive.

this is not Regenerationn, Ichigo was dead and was controlled by his hollow, even after ulquiorra destroy his horn Ichigo was still dead, that's where he regenerated.

No, he was just being kept alive, same as the time Quincy powers kept him from dying when Kenpachi pierced his chest and most likely his heart. He couldn't resurrect after Ulquiorra already killed him, despite it happening way past training arc.

Look at the Scan above, and someone who survives after having their heart plucked would be type 2 immortality, which is not the case here, and Kenpachi did not hurt Ichigo's heart.

Lol that isn't nearly the same thing,Ichigo didn't die against Kenpachi and was healed by Zangetsu.

Hollow Ichigo wanted to take over Ichigo,he stated multiple times if he were to die he would take over as king as seen in the scans above.

You can politely ask Soldier Blue to comment here.

Points in favour of resurrection:

  • Hichigo stated that he would take over Ichigo's body if he ever got his ass killed. And we see that Hichigo did indeed take over once Ichigo got a giant hole blown in his chest.
  • It was explained multiple times in the Blood War arc that Shinigami reiatsu can be snuffed out and that they can die if their heart is stopped/destroyed. Ichigo would have clearly had most or all of his heart destroyed here.
Points in favour of just Regenerationn:

  • Ichigo was still thinking when Orihime was begging for him to wake up. It can be concluded from this that he was not dead but near death.
  • Orihime had a hard time healing Ichigo just before his fight with Grimmjow. This was because of remnants of Ulquiorra's reiatsu in the hole. The same problem must have cropped up in this instance, but Ulquiorra's remnant reiatsu in this case was vastly more powerful (the last time was in base and this was in Segunda Etapa). So it was not due to simply Ichigo's wounds being too severe or him being dead.

Which explanation do you find the most likely?

Okay. Regenerationn is more generalised though, so maybe we should stick with that to stay on the safe side?

He was literally dead and confirmed by the guy who took over his body?? He had no memory of what happened after his death until someone told him.His body is literally lifeless.

Should note that Ulquiorra did surprise when Ichigo got back up and said something "You can't be alive" as Frantzy said above in the OP.

I mean, even Ichigo can still sense Chad is still alive even when Chad is gravely injured from far away, and sensing someone dead or alive should be a child's play for Ulquiorra since he's adept at using pesquisa IMO.

Wrath Of Itachi said:
If ichigo does get ressurection, does that mean he loses his Regenerationn?
No. There are still multiple instances where he has regenerated entire limbs and portions of his torso.

Well, I suppose that resurrection may be more likely then.

I agree with OP characters on the edge of death could be sense by others, but Ulquiorra was surprised when Ichigo got up, that would mean he wasn't immiting any reiatsu until White took over his corpse.

There's also the fact that Ichibei was mentally conscious and was able to speak to Ichigo even after Yhwach killed him, Ichibei stole part of Ichigo's power to heal himself and said that Ichigo and him had similar powers.

I know I should not be asking this but, after low-mid Regenerationn comes what? and how much can it regenerate?

Mid: The ability to regenerate from decapitation or severe brain damage. For machines and vehicles, this would be regenerating from the destruction of critical parts, such as the engine.

I think Ichigo clearly died there. As far as I know Ichigo can not regen his heart, so it should be a one time ressurection.
