The debate between Bell Cranel and Kirito is still kind of up in the air at the moment. However, that doesn't mean we can't get their crushes/lovers into a similar debate. One is the legendary Sword Princess from the Loki Familia, and one is the Lightning Flash from the Knights of the Blood Oath. But which of these two skilled swordswomen has what it takes to come out on top? Today, we find out!

In the blue corner, we have Asuna from Sword Art Online, and in the red corner, we have Aiz Wallenstei from Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon?.

-This will be a fight to the death or incapacitation. No holds barred.
-Neither character are aware of each other beforehand, and there is no prep time.

-Neither character is allowed outside help.

-The battle will take place in the Orario's Colosseum, giving Aiz the home advantage.

-Asuna is restricted to her SAO form, to reduce the chances of haxing Aiz to death.

-Speed is equalized.

With all that being said, let the debate begin!

Both have pretty much the same level of strenght. While i consider Aiz to be a way better fighter, Asuna is way faster. Asuna will probably win with her speed advantage.

Speed is equalized in this match, though.
 
asuna has her rapier skills maxxed, so i'd say they are similar in skill, unless you think that sao has extremely low standarts.

I never said that. I only questioned how someone could make an argument about speed when it was equalized.
 
Going inconclusive. Even though Aiz seemingly has more abilities (Even though Asuna technically has the variety advantage with Sword Skills), Asuna can easily keep up with Sword Skills amping her up her strength and speed, as well as her Battle Healing keeping her up (Reason why I say this is inconclusive however is because Aiz could possibly overwhelm it).

In terms of swordsmanship, yes. Ais is way more skilled than Asuna.

SAO doesn't really have characters that can be really consider too skilled. I would say only Alicization characters (Kirito post-training included) can be consider "really skilled".
 
I'm gonna vote Asuna for Xmark's reasons (yes, I know he voted incon). I view VS Threads from the idea that a thousand fights are taking place. If one person wins more by more than 25 or so, in my theoretical battlefield, they win.

Ais and Asuna are very close. But Asuna heals. Ais does not. Ais also has no access to statistics amplification, since she has never fought a "monster"(?) like Asuna. So it comes down to pseudo-flight, which SAO has shown before via insane jumping, and baseline air manip. Compared to Asuna's healing and stat amp. She takes it, mid-diff.
