For the record, even Sonic at his peak couldn't win, as afaik, he needs to be fighting something bad to reach that level due to the nature of the Emeralds.
Anyway, yeah. Same as always. Mario's abilities are far better and more versatile. He's a good amount stronger. He has more experience.
