World Cup

The other Russians in this wiki probably wanted their country to win as well.

Yes, I heard that 4 billion people were watching.

I'm actually surprised how our guys have reached the 1/4, considering their epic fails in several previous championships (in the range of 2010-2016) tbh. Fortunately, Miss Luck was on our side this year. The home walls probably helped us as well.

In addition, this championship has left a pleasant opinion about us for people from the West, including the mass media. If the mass media previously was talking trash for 4 years (Since Crimea has joined Russia), now the myths have disappeared and they finally understand that we aren't "insidious tyrants". That's fantastic news, especially for me and some of my compatriots here. This wiki is a great example of how people with various cultural and religious identities can interact and communicate with each other, and also build up so large, diverse and very multilingual community ― outside political nonsense.

Congrats @The Casuality for the victory and @ShrekAlmighty for reaching the final.

I was rooting for Croatia since I tends to like an underdog to win.

But too bad they made so many mistake. And Mandzukic was playing so bad, too many mistakes in passing. Probably the heaviest blow Croatia had was Perisic's handball in the first half. I stopped watching after Pogba's goal.
