Wolf (Sekiro) VS The Chosen Undead (Dark Souls) | 3-0-0

Does Undead have any way to bypass Wolf's immortality? Or any way to inccap him? (Haven't played Ds1 in a bit and can't remember lol)

I'm not entirely sure how Wolf's immortality works. Can't he just come back to life once, like in the game, so Undead could just kill him twice?

He can come back as many times as he wants to my knowledge and has type 4 and 8 immortality (sry for the late response)

Oh, ok. Does the Undead's immortality not work the same way then? He also has types 4 and 8 (plus 1, 2, and 7 but Idk how relevant that is here)

Chosen can absorb Wolf's soul after death. Wolf can permanently kill Chosen with the Mortal Blade. They both just need to kill each other once.

Oof my dumbass forgot that Chosen could absorb souls

On to the fight tho, In my mind Wolf would start with either peppering Chosen with his long range equipment or trying to sneak attack and get a deathblow

My memory is failing me what on Chosen would do so I'm probably going to just argue for Wolf

Wolf would excel in close combat but if the undead has all his spells and miracles it kinda makes it tilted in his favor

Well, I don't actually think he'd have that much of an advantage in close combat because Undead has 3x AP/dura advantage. I think it's more favorable (and in-character) for Wolf to stealth and attack from range or go for a death blow.
Are the spells and miracles really that good? What specifically would be a problem for Wolf?

When saying he had the advantage in close combat I was more so thinking because of his game being parry based, mikrari counters and stuff like that

As for undead miracles/spells/pyromances. You have thinks like homing soul attacks, poison fogs, miracles that regen hp etc

Oh, ok. Yeah, Wolf definitely outskills

Fair point. This is another reason why Wolf would want to stay FAR away from Undead.
As for healing with miracles, is there a limit on this, or can Undead just go on healing forever?

Wolf can resurrect even if his shirikodama (the organ in the ass that according to Shinto belief houses the soul) is consumed by one of the Headless spirits

Also, Wolf has used skill to get around AP+Dura advantages before (not to mention he and his verse have Grappler Baki levels of skill-based bull****tery), and with Mortal Blade he could negate Chosen's Immortality

Sorry to be like this, but that isn't on the profile, so it don't count

Agreed, but it looks like Chosen's spells would be the bigger problem here

That's actually kind of a point against Wolf. Wolf can only kill Chosen in that specific way, while Chosen can kill Wolf in any way he wants and absorb his soul after
Looking at it now, Chosen does actually resist resurrection negation. I don't know specifics, so I would defer to someone knowledgeable on both verses as to whether it would be enough to resist Mortal Blade.

Well it's not as though Wolf is limited to either swords in combat, he has his myriad of Shinobi tools for both offense and defense. For example, there's the mist raven and umbrella. Not to mention, Wolf is a hell of a lot more agile and can actually jump. Could the Lilac Umbrella potentially absorb the Chosen Undead's own spells and miracles to redirect it back at him for major damage? Same with the lightning reversal, if the CU decided to use a lightning miracle.

I agree, but Wolf's issue is that he needs to kill Chosen with the Mortal Blade in order to prevent his immortality

Lightning reversal would work; I don't know how Lilac Umbrella works tho, it isn't on the profile

He doesn't need them to kill, he can use them to weaken the CU

I may have gotten mixed up with the lilac umbrella, but simply put it allows Wolf to block apparition enemy attacks, and with the cross slash skill he can fire off an attack that's empowered, like it has a built in Divine Confetti.

Yeah I'm going with wolf here. Not only is he hell of a lot more agile, he can close the stat disadvantage with a combination of his spiritfalls and divine confetti. Along with this, he has shinobi prosthetics that will allow him to teleport out of the way of the CU's spells, or block them, and can redirect the CU's lightning miracles to destroy their posture to get a deathblow with the mortal blade.

Put me down for Wolf.

Here's the thing. Chosen undead doesn't really have much that wolf hasn't dealt with before. But Wolf does have a few trick Chosen Undead hasn't dealt with before. Namely firecrackers. Wolf can spam firecrackers and keep him stunlocked.

You could say that the sorceries are something Wolf has never seen before but they don't behave as anything new. They're just not scary versions of the shichimen terror balls.

Now this could be mitigated by skill but I feel Wolf has the edge in the skill department as well.

Plus a mobility edge with that grapple hook.
