I've seen more than a couple of profiles (including one I tried to make myself) botched by some people's opinions on what is considered EE, now to give the summary that is on the page.
"Existence Erasure is the simple power to remove something from existence, leaving nothing behind, a level of destruction beyond incineration, vaporization, and atomization. Rather than just reducing something to its constituent parts, this ability leaves absolutely nothing behind. Powerful enough uses of this ability can even erase the mind and soul, if not more fundamental aspects of one's existence, such as concepts."
Now, with the simple summary out of the way I will get to the crux of my issue with how this is sometimes handled. For one, take a look at Zeno's page. If you scroll down and look under his NPI, he has an ability listed as "soul destruction" which forwards you to the soul manip page, now...while yes. He does already have existence erasure as an ability, it still doesn't change the fact that there's literally no reason to lessen the "soul destruction" ability to simple soul manip when it's literally blatant EE? As I just quoted above, it is verbatim stated on the EE summary that powerful enough uses can even erase the mind or soul, clearly implying that it is something the wiki sees as powerful and above baseline EE (baseline in this case being what I assume is simply destroying the physical body beyond vaporization, etc) so the fact it's labeled as soul manip instead of just EE is very inconsistent to me.
Now while yes, it is true that destroying the soul is also soul manip (depending on the means) what Zeno and various other gods of destruction do is fundamentally different from just manipulating the soul, it is destroying it without any kind of further interaction whatsoever. Furthermore, I've spoken to some people that seem to think simply destroying the metaphysical mind or soul is not EE depending on the words being used, such as "shattering" a mind/soul or "breaking" it, with their claims being that because it was "shattered" and not "erased" it wouldn't qualify? Now...this brings me to the main thing I see, and that's people often thinking that breaking or shattering a metaphysical thing (such as the mind or soul) is seemingly the same as shattering a body, which...it's not.
As a metaphysical thing is made up of...literally nothing physically tangible "shattering" or "breaking" it (when in reference to destroying it and not simply manipulating/inflicting pain) should count as EE, because again. When a metaphysical object is destroyed it is not broken down the same way physical objects would be...it simply ceases to exist as it is not made up of molecules, atoms, protons, neutrons, etc. I yapped quite a bit, it's just something that happened to bug me is all. Maybe my understanding of this is fundamentally flawed or something, so lmk ig
