Best I can find for speed comes from here and Here with both being in Miles Per Hour, and with the first translating to 120700 m/s and the second being at 89408 m/s, both incredibly slower then the speed I’ve seen on the wiki’s “lightning calculations” page

That's more so the average speed of a lightning bolt. And a long time ago, we said they vary between 100,000 m/s and 1,400,000. But there are more studies saying it can go down to the 89408 m/s and there's also lightning bolts faster than the old high end.

But isn’t the 1,400,000 not the leader bolt (one which goes down) but the flash Or the return stroke

but also wouldn’t you guys want to use the low end (or 89k m/s), I’ve seen people who are clearly superhuman and create shockwaves at the SOS by moving get called “peak human” I don’t think normal humans can do that.

Yeah ik, I’m just confused where the 1,400,000 could possible come from otherwise because the absolute peak I’ve seen is the 270000 mph or 120000 m/s
The 100000 - 1400000 m/s range comes from this study that measured multiple lightning strikes' speed, current, distance, etc. during a storm.
