By play, I don't mean pretend. By play, I mean Macbeth, Sweeney Todd, Romeo Montague, and characters from my most recent obsession that is incredibly late on the trend that only Ryu and Dragon is aware of

It's not something that I would've noticed unless I think about it, but I don't think we have any, and given how our site runs, a lack of a media kinda looks bad if it gets noticed. I believe they should be added, along with a category if anyone is interested.

I was gonna make a lot of puns about that play I'm obsessed with, but I'm out of time. If this is still open by the time I get back to internet, expect them. So PLEASE keep this open until after 6:30 PM EST ovo
 
Cause nobody has made any, and no one has been interested, i mean what you would have is some athletic humans maybe, people generally don't make such low tiered profiles, there isn't a rule against it or anything just a lack of interest.
 
It's simple. No one wanted to make pages for them. If you or someone else has good feats for them you're more than free to create one. I'd think Romeo would be 10-A and 9-C with his sword. Though I could be wrong.
 
Mostly because they don't seem to have any feat out of the ordinary. We gonna end up with 10-A and 9-C stuff all over the board.
 
There's nothing really against Play profiles, but feats are usually limited since they are rarely about combat themselves. In addition, they're usually fairly low-tiered due to the nature of the medium preventing massive special effects.

As Ryu said, characters like Romeo and Macbeth would likely top out around 9-C with their weapons.

I wouldn't mind writing one for Othello, since I actually really liked that play (even if it infuriated me to no end with how easily the poor general got manipulated by Iago).
 
Because they don't have feats and the nature of plays means that there is no One true canon ways things happen.

However, Classic literature Characters can get profiles.
 
You are free to create such profiles if you wish, but we cannot force people to do so.

Glad I wasn't the only one wanting to make a profile for him. He's totally 8-A for fighting the "giants"

I've been watching a number of ballet plays with my nieces lately. Sure, theirs nothing superhuman about them, but the nimbleness they show off is very impressive and the swordsmanship is respectable. If you want some good feats in plays, I'm sure the more fantastical ones like Greek Tragedies probably have good feats.
 
Beowulf, Gilgamesh, Sigurd, Ragnar Lothbrok, Achilles, Arjuna... Don't let yourself think that classic literature doesn't have badasses.

Oh, and by the way, a lot of Greek Myth comes from plays, and plenty statements from those contain insight into the gods.
 
Greek Tragedies do have feats. Not in the "And then Athena lifted a mountain and hurled it at that giant", but in the "Athena got mad and turned this mortal into a tree" way.
 
Someone should make a profile for Jean Valjean. Dude is borderline Superhuman at times. OvO

Maybe I should rewatch Gankutsuou and make profiles for it.

Yeah Grendel overpowered 30 men, Beowulf is described as being as strong as 30 men, and he wielded a sword larger than himself while underwater to beat Grendel's mother

I watched the Syfy "adaptation" of the book where Beowulf had a gun and Grendel's Mother did backflips everywhere. That is an experience I shall always remember.
 
Did he? I havent read Beowuulf in years :/

I only remember he lost to a dragon at the end.
 
I didn't even think of how impressive Beowulf had to be in his fights his one with Grendel's mother was always my favorite cause of the setting and action
 
He died. He stated even before the fight he had no chance , but fought her anyways out of arrogance . They were nearly even , but Grendel's Mother was more cunning, and managed to deal a fatal blow .
 
I guess I must have read a different version cause that didn't happen there and he only died to the dragon

When I think plays I usually think of Shakespeare and tragedies like Antigone, but good point I guess.
 
I think that there's a website doing a full audiobook recording of Beowulf complete with a soundtrack and additional commentary / analysis wt the end of every chapter.
 
According to this respect thread, Beowulf ripped off Grendel's arm barehanded (same Grendel who can beat dozens of men at once like Weekly said) and stated to have fought giants. I think he's Wall level.
 
This thread does not seem important enough to warrant a highlight, and already has a lot of people responding, so I will remove it.
