What type of immortality is this?

"Is he dead?" I whispered. Damn it. "Can goddesses die?"
"He didn't just die," Ayzer said as he stood up, taking strength from the irons. He kept pulling at the irons as if he could get out. He looked terrified. "Only goddesses..."
"They commit suicide," Daren finished his sentence. "They can die if they just want to."

Further context is needed, this is still really vague. It has some element of type 8 with the condition being the goddesses cannot die unless they themselves have the desire to, but then again, context.

This... isn’t an ability lol. Anybody can “die if they just want to” even irl. You need more context.

I don't understand how the first two quotes are relevant but the last one just sounds like they can negate their own immortalities if they have any

It's probably type 5, Deathless Immortality. The character can't die unless they want to. The character is unbound by conventional life or death, because those factors are their supernatural decision.

What is meant is that the Goddesses are immortal and nothing can kill them unless they desire.

The only thing that is said about the immortality of goddesses in the verse is this quote

Apart from the moment you mentioned, has anything else in the verse manage to kill them? If yes then what was it?

No goddess died in the verse except for this moment.
Damn. Without any further context, we can only chalk this up to either type 8 or it could simply be that these goddesses are the god tiers of the verse and are so above everything else the only thing that can kill them is themselves. How did the character mentioned even die?

He takes over the mind of a character named Erim and tells Nova and her friends some things, then gets out of Erim's mind and ends his own life.

In the sequel, Nova asked, "Is he dead? Can goddesses die?" he asks. Ayzer replies, "She didn't just die," she says, "Goddesses just..." and Daren finishes Ayzer's sentence by saying "They commit suicide," and then says "They can only die if they want to."

Immortality 8 I guess
