To quote Frieza force soldier 100: "The T Rex just has to step on Jimmy. Ergo, getting up close to fight it would be a bad idea. Long range fighting won't help much since, in real life, the most firecrackers, bottle rockets, slingshots, and spud guns would do to a t rex is severely annoy it.
