What level of Regen do you need to cure cancer?

Thought this would be a funny thought experiment, as well as ask how regen is treated in general in responce to cancer. Let's say a warrior has a weapon that causes his/her opponent to contract a cancerous growth (For example, I'll use "The Atomic Revolver" from Unfinished Business [SCP]). They use said weapon on characters on each level of regen (Low, Mid-Low, High-Low, etc.). How far would we have to go up this chain for the regen to cure the cancerous growth? Should it be looked at in a case to case basis?

Thought this would make for fun debate, but if it's been discussed before ya'll can link me it and I'll get some nice reading.

Don't think regen can really cure cancer unless you're just outright recreating your body.

Powerful enough to constantly Regen your organs. Low-Mid maybe.

Edit: Nevermind, completely cure the cancer is impossible at least for humans. We have a cancer cells to begin with and only recognizable when it gets worse.

Cancer is abnormal cell growth that blocks off and interferes with vital processes. I don't think normal Regenerationn would help when the cancer cells are already there, and a lot of people would just regenerate the cancer cells (like Deadpool), unless you destroy that area and regenerate it good as new. Even that might not work for some characters, given that Deadpool's been turned to goop and regenerated from it and still has cancer.

I have a question, regenerate brain damage is Mid Regenerationn?

Lethal brain damage. I'd say less serious brain damage (though all brain damage is pretty serious) would just be a high end of Low-Mid.

Actually... The regen would affect the cancer and even accelerate its growth. Look at Henrietta Lacks.

the problem is that if someone has, say, brain cancer and mid regen, he can just cut his head off and boom.

Schro's right.

Recovering from cancer would be a separate ability.

I don't know deadpool well, but isn't that a weird fictional thing? I mean, if umineko stated that a 3-D can kill a beyond-D with sheer willpower, we shouldn't take this as valid for everything else.

It will inevitably differ from fiction to fiction, and that was an example.

As Prom said.

You can't regen from cancer. You can destroy the cancer and the affected area and then regenerate said area. But thats hard, since your regen would regen the cancerous cells (they are just your body, after all) and cause it to grown even faster and spread over your body.

Thats the default, but that can be a casis-by-casis

Henrietta Lacks was a woman with strange cells. Her cellullar Regenerationn was faster than normal and her cells could split indefinitely (basically, a real life human with low-regen).

And then... She had cancer. The cancerous cells had the exact same regenerative powers.

I mean, technically a character with a body capable of doing ultra fast cell growth would require to have ultra cell growth inhibitors to regulate its bodies ultra cell multiplication, meaning that it would be unaffected by anyting but ultra cancer...

or not. Biology and fiction man ┬»\_(Òâä)_/┬»
