It says it's above Peak Human strength, but the problem is, it has no base value at all for the Superhuman LS

Yeah, it's a general term for Class 1 and above, but it also helps with judging feats blatantly superhuman but comes of as improper. Another example for Superhuman lifting strength is capacity to block a Superhuman striking strength without budging.

I believe I saw some contention regarding whether blocking strikes would be LS at all.

Also, giant characters cannot sometimes be scaled to their own weight LS-wise, but obviously they'd have superhuman strength so that's also there in lack of better feats. And so on, there's many examples.

I thought blocking/no selling was a no, but catching the attack and stopping it still counts as LS scaling.

Well, catching a punch and completely stopping it without punching is technically lifting strength, or same with for example the infamous SSJ Trunks effortlessly bench pressed Frieza's Supernova. But the real issue is that those feats are prone to Calc Stacking.

And yeah, Giant character who are like "So massive they cannot move" would not scale to their own lifting strength. And not all giants can lift objects that are equal to their own weight, for much of the same reasons not all humans can dead lift an object as heavy has they are.
