Every mage has something known as spirit zone, The spirit zone represents the range within which they can cast magic, and magical abilities in this verse rely on mental power. To cast a spell, such as ice magic, mages must understand science behind it how particles form, react, energy.. anything related to ice. Once they have the knowledge, they can manifest it within their spirit zone, allowing them to create anything desired within their range.
