Asta fills the sword with Anti Magic, swings it, and releases the energy as a flying slash which cuts through magic and carries enough force to knock an opponent back into a wall or up through a ceiling. The slash doesn't cut his opponent, but can knock them unconscious.

For me, I'm assuming that it's Sleep Inducement type for Status Effect Inducement.

I think its more like that it cuts their magic reserves and this produce the faint effect as it affects them, but I never watched more than two episodes from Black Clover.

That is if it specifically puts them to sleep.

You are able to normally knock someone out without it being sleep manipulation

Yeah, knocking someone out by simply striking its head is not Sleep Inducement. Only notables powers in OP ate Anti-Magic, including Infusing and Projection.
