Weird Cosmology of DC Fix

The scan in the New History of the DC Universe is not even the true extent of The Endless. It does reference Sandman #21, which literally states “Morpheus” is a mere aspect of the true abstract Dream outside Creation, so again ignoring valuable context.
The new history of the DCU did not state that Morpheus emerged from the Big Bang, but rather that the Endless as a whole existed. Furthermore, Sandman #21 confirms that the Endless in the new DCU history are not merely incarnations but represent fundamental aspects of existence itself.

The context did not specify that Father Time granted the Endless their entire existence before creation. Instead, it mentioned that he provided an existence for Dream to exist, and it never stated that they were present in the void.
Time predates Creation and light as The Endless true abstract self predates light because they're actualized from Time essence in what would define reality. The potential of everything has a Destiny before they were traced to exists, All things had the potential to live and die as that would be Death, etc…..Father Time more like Father Possiblity/Potiental.
No, do u realize abt Time and Creation are basically one and same thing? no, Endless doesn't predates Light as well because entirely of creation is born from Light and It is depicted in the same manner as Father Time embodies all existence.
the abstract self aren't no “conscious living things,” they're pure concepts.
None of your scans stated that :).
We've all seen the interview, but they're the same in “Morrison” eyes as he literally said so:
Morrison: Yeah. Again, on the very edge of the art and the edge of the mind of God there are these two big concepts fighting – Superman and Mandrakk, Predation and Protection, Greed and Preservation, Ugly and Beautiful, Youth and Age, Good and Evil, Black and White, Is and Isn't and all the others. Beyond that crumbling ledge in Monitor-World, those concepts don't exist and it's all non-dual Monitor mind, or God, or Kirby's Source, in which all contradictions are resolved into unity. It's funny, the more I talk about it, the more I'm getting into it!
He never said they are the same, he only talked about how all dual conceptions dissolved into Non-dual such Monitor Mind,God or Source.

Morrison's interpretation does not definitively prove anything; he merely labeled the Source, the Unknowable, and the Overvoid as entities that exist beyond the multiverse. However, when addressing specifics, only the Source is emphasized, as the other two are beyond the Source but are still considered entities beyond the multiverse. It’s important to note that Morrison intended to convey that the Overvoid, the Source, and the Unknowable exist beyond the multiverse, which does not imply they are the same entity. Additionally, the Source exists within the Overvoid, and the Overvoid often interacts within the Source in most comics, leading readers to mistakenly believe they are identical.
No it's not? The second scan discussed how a flaw emerged within the heart of monitor perfection, while the first scan confirmed that the flaw was actually appear in Light's perfection while didn't state a single thng about Overvoid and this implies that the heart of the monitor equals Light and refuse the idea about Overvoid = Light.

Light = Source
Well, he's not entire representation of Light but okay.
The Great Darkness, an eternal canvas of nothingness, predates Light (Light of Creation), precedes the Source (The Source)
The perspective is that after the Source emerged from the Self-Referential Void, there was no such thing as Darkness or Great Darkness before its existence. Therefore, total darkness (Great Darkness) is defined not as a pre-existing entity but as the absence of light, while the Source exists concurrently with the Great Darkness.
No difference between them in the current canon and The Darkness exists outside Source/Light/Overvoid bounding it on all sides. (The New Gods Vol.1 #6)

The Darkness is the self-referential Void because the total darkness is far older than The Source when all was just “Void” ie only Darkness. (The New Gods Vol.1 #5)
First one seems okay but remove Overvoid.

For second one, Great Darkness isn't self-referential void, it's clearly referring to the time when God awared of his own existence of being oneness and what's awareness? yea it's Overvoid which is non-dual.
God spoke eventually, and the Darkness was no longer just darkness. So The Darkness is infinitely larger than The Light (The Source and The Overvoid), so despite being opposites that never means equal.
How's darkness larger than Source infinitely? It didn't say anything like that just surrounding and that doesn't make Great Darkness more powerful... Great Darkness itself struggling with White Light which merely is an aspect of Source. Therefore, Great Darkness isn't more poerful than Source but they are likely equal.
I’ll keep this short. The Presence isn't an “entity” per se, just a title for God, in respect to both aspect and whole. There's no difference that the “divine” adds, God is God.
Presence and Source are basically one entity with different names and it doesn't need to prove speically.

Yeah, this basically shows that Lucifer is superior to the aspects of the Endless.

I think we’re having a problem with how we interpret the word ‘strong.’ Obviously, a fundamental truth isn’t ‘stronger’ than a character, since it has neither will nor the capacity to act; we’re simply talking in terms of what it encompasses and what it doesn’t.

Everyone is in Destiny's book. And everyone will die, eventually. That doesn't mean Destiny decides what happens to them or Death kills them.

The aspects of the Endless cannot wield the full breadth of what their concepts encompass; we can effectively regard them as lesser personifications of the concepts they represent, able only to partially employ the capacities of what they themselves embody.

The main point here is that Lucifer and the other archangels are subject to the fundamental truths of creation.

Fundamental Truths > Archangels > Endless (aspects of the Fundamental Truths)

Why would Morpheus be weaker? You're missing the point of what was stated about The Endless in The Sandman #21. They don't have a stronger "self" to which they are rooted. They simply exist in a form beyond our grasp. Because they are universal constants. This shouldn't be this difficult.
That's not what was said as per Morpheus’ statement:

He is the facet, he claims:

He's a facet, a small part, a reflecting light of the jewel. As he passes as the point of view of “Dream” he would pass it on to Daniel as the new “Dream” whom is the facet “of” the jewel, not the jewel itself. They reflect back on that pure concept, in which they represent through different Creations.

Ultima words it better, so I’ll just show what he said.

I'm not sure about Night and Time, but I never got the impression that they were so far beyond Yahweh. It's safest to assume that Yahweh and Lucifer, by Morpheus' own admission, are stronger than them, but there are theories, and I'm fine with that.
Ultima said it best “they weren't even coptualized back then when the statement was made.” As per then the Endless claim they weren’t born, they are beyond beginning and ending, etc.

Obviously, cutting Ultima’s logic. Gaiman would not have thought of things like Night, Time, Michael, Perpetua, etc…by publication none of them were characterized.

The new history of the DCU did not state that Morpheus emerged from the Big Bang, but rather that the Endless as a whole existed. Furthermore, Sandman #21 confirms that the Endless in the new DCU history are not merely incarnations but represent fundamental aspects of existence itself.
Morpheus is part of the Endless, so I understood that juncture applies to the others. My point was exactly that it refers to their aspect in that Creation, or else Morpheus wouldn't be the only “Dream” to appear since there's a Dream for all Creations before and after since Time embodies the moment in which they do and don't exist. Their existence as concepts was stated to be because of Time: “I gave you your existence.”
The context did not specify that Father Time granted the Endless their entire existence before creation. Instead, it mentioned that he provided an existence for Dream to exist, and it never stated that they were present in the void.
He was present in the Void as per Dreams’ statement that they were there when the “rules” were set which Morpheus addressed to his creation it was set when “All was Void.”
No, do u realize abt Time and Creation are basically one and same thing? no, Endless doesn't predates Light as well because entirely of creation is born from Light and It is depicted in the same manner as Father Time embodies all existence.
Time already predates existence, it’s his existence when he came with Night that made it all possible. Ignoring the most obvious statement, Creation is dying as we see in Overture #4 and #5 had no effect on Time, he saw the “end” and the “rebirth” since dreams don't affect him.
None of your scans stated that :).
Yeah, as if we didn't have a “Sandman” series telling us, we wouldn't have know an Endless family exist embodying “concepts” that aren’t living things.
He never said they are the same, he only talked about how all dual conceptions dissolved into Non-dual such Monitor Mind,God or Source.
That's literally saying they are. Indicated by the “or.”

He isn't the the main writer anymore, is he?
Well, he's not entire representation of Light but okay.
Whose the “he” in this instance?
The perspective is that after the Source emerged from the Self-Referential Void, there was no such thing as Darkness or Great Darkness before its existence. Therefore, total darkness (Great Darkness) is defined not as a pre-existing entity but as the absence of light, while the Source exists concurrently with the Great Darkness.
Yeah, therefore The Great Darkness represent an idea older than the Source as said “Source” appeared from Darkness, when all was just “darkness.”
First one seems okay but remove Overvoid.
No?
For second one, Great Darkness isn't self-referential void, it's clearly referring to the time when God awared of his own existence of being oneness and what's awareness? yea it's Overvoid which is non-dual.
Non-dual was used very sparingly. Contradictory as Mandrakk was later retconned, not to be “unified in serene oneness” as his fall into the Overvoid led him into the Dark Multiverse.

The scan makes no correlation about “God.”
The Source isn't infinite, Darkness bounds it on all side. There's nothing but darkness beyond The Source and when all was darkness “everything was nothing.” That is a clear indication it is infinite. Deadly Greeen literally makes this the point that the Light is barely a glinting show from where he stands.
Presence and Source are basically one entity with different names and it doesn't need to prove speically.
Okay, then so is The Overvoid since if you want to use Morrison’s logic, they're all God, and would be 0, yet The Darkness exist.

Their actual origin as just “pure context” comes from Time, the relentless beat in which all things exist, can exist, and will exist in their time of existence and non-existence as he gave The Endless their entire existence prior to all Creations. (The Sandman: Overture Vol.1 #4) This is made clear when The Endless were present in the Void before all things and obviously, Morpheus is not the first incarnation of Dream projected by their abstract self in Creation. (The Sandman Vol.1 #2)
Nowhere in the statement does it say that the Big Bang gave rise to only aspects of the Endless. This is actually just an assumption you’re making off of the fact that the Endless have true forms, where Morpheus is only one form that the true uninterpreted form takes when becoming perceptible to others.

I gave this example before and I’ll give it again. Ares represents the concept of war. Orion also represents the concept of war. However, Ares and Orion are two separate characters. So if they’re both the concept of war, then how they can be distinguished? Well, it’s through how humanities interpretation interplays with the forms. Ares is war as how someone in the Greek Pantheon would see it. And Orion is war under how someone who believes in the New Gods would see it. However, because war can be interpreted differently, war per se, must first exist outside of any individualized or cultural interpretation, because if it wasn’t, then there would be no way for it be interpreted differently in the first place. As such, all of these interpretations can be viewed as small snapshots of something we would call the “archetype” of war.

The stone and light analogy that was said by Neil Gaiman in one of your scans, is one of the most common analogies in literature when it comes to talking about archetypes of the Collective Unconscious. This is why Neil talks about perception, because it’s the interplay between humanities perception of the archetypes that creates this middle ground of mythic representations aka(Gods, Angels, Demons, fairies, etc). So saying that the big bang created only aspects of the Endless makes no sense because those aspects are born out of humanities individual and cultural perception, not the spark that starts existence. And we know for certainty that the Hands created the Collective Unconscious since it’s a part of the Seven Forces, proving that the Big Bang had to have given risen to the archetypes as well.

God (Yahweh’s true form) > The Great Darkness > ~ Night > Time > Yahweh (The aspect of God) , The Source/Light/Overvoid > ~ True Extent of The Endless > Lucifer and Michael > The First Circle > Aspect of The True Endless ~ Hands > Perpetua > all else.
Jesus Christ, this is just wrong. If the aspects of the Endless are above the Hands, then I guess everybody in the Sphere of Gods is above the Hands too. Also Perpetua is called one of the Hands so saying “Hands > Perpetua” is redundant. Yahweh who directly resides in the silver city being placed beyond the Overvoid is also hilarious.

The Overvoid = Light

Light = Source

The Great Darkness, an eternal canvas of nothingness, predates Light (Light of Creation), precedes the Source (The Source), precedes Immculate Perfection of Light (Overvoid).

God spoke eventually, and the Darkness was no longer just darkness. So The Darkness is infinitely larger than The Light (The Source and The Overvoid), so despite being opposites that never means equal.
This interpretation is born out of people taking the statement “immaculate perfection of light” as a reference to light against darkness when the adjectives “immaculate perfection” are trying to tell you literally the opposite of that. It signifies a light beyond duality that is absolute and unbroken. The flaws emergence marks a movement from pure unbroken unity towards limitation, hence why they say “this caused a flaw in what was once the immaculate perfection of light”. The reason pure light is used as an analogy is because pure light is not directly perceivable; what can be perceived are only its effects or the manifestations it makes visible. This is why in Neoplatonism(which DC’s cosmic structure is entirely based off of) Light is frequently used as a symbol for the One.

Quotes from Plotinus( A primary Neoplatonist)
- “The First, then, should be compared to light, the next [Spirit or Intellect] to the sun, and the third [soul] to the celestial body of the moon, which gets its light from the sun.” (V-6-4)

- “The Good is the source of all that is intelligible, just as the Sun is the source of all that is visible.” (V.7.1)

- “The One is above all light, and all the rays that issue from it are but reflections of its perfection; the light itself is untouched and unmingled.” (VI.7.1)

The best example in DC’s case is given through the usage of colors on Multiversity map. On the map, the Multiverse is illustrated as this elaborate diagram of all the colors of the rainbow, while the The Source/Overvoid is illustrated as the white space containing and underlying it. This is done because, white light is the representation of all the colors of the rainbow blended together before they are refracted. So the color theme on the map is basically implying to you that this white space is a unity compared to the Multiverse. It is unbroken and self contained while the Multiverse is the illuminated emanation of that unity(all the colors of the rainbow coming from white light).

Grant Morrison would also directly showcase this analogy in his green lantern series, which is also the same series that refers to The Source and the Overvoid as a sublime(perfect), non-dual, omni-awareness. In this analogy, the refraction of the white light is showcasing a movement from non-duality to duality, as given by yin and yang symbol.

I agree with the Overvoid and The Source being the same though. I just disagree with basically everything else you’ve suggested.

I've never contradicted what you've said, but I still don't see it as being more powerful, or "more conceptual" as you seem to imply. Even if they were, Morpheus and the pure abstraction of Dream influence Lucifer equally. Dream, after all, is not stronger than Lucifer.
Ultima words it better, so I’ll just show what he said.

Ultima said it best “they weren't even coptualized back then when the statement was made.” As per then the Endless claim they weren’t born, they are beyond beginning and ending, etc.

These are some of the reasons I'm unsure about them. I still won't be definitive on this, but I don't accept your claim that Night and Time are vastly superior to God.

This is actually just an assumption you’re making off of the fact that the Endless have true forms, where Morpheus is only one form that the true uninterpreted form takes when becoming perceptible to others.
It isn't limited to him, he's just the primary example. It’s also not an assumption about “their true form,” it’s been mentioned, it hasn't resurfaced outside Gaiman.
The said example is deplorable. What they see is Morpheus, the dream of said Creation, isn't the “Dream” on which all the aspects are being projected from just the pure concept.
The stone and light analogy that was said by Neil Gaiman in one of your scans, is one of the most common analogies in literature when it comes to talking about archetypes of the Collective Unconscious. The Endless were not born of humans, their existience is contingent on Creation, they're not “gods” as the Sandman states several times. The very earliest moments of sentient life are more accurate than human perception.
No, I said they're somewhat equivalent to each other if the Endless fully express their power as opposed to limiting themselves. As such with what we see in Overture.

Perpetua was definitely a Hand, yes. She's also definitely had “superior” she feared. So my statement stands.
This interpretation is born out of people taking the statement “immaculate perfection of light” as a reference to light against darkness when the adjectives “immaculate perfection” are trying to tell you literally the opposite of that. It signifies a light beyond duality that is absolute and unbroken. This is why in Neoplatonism(which DC’s cosmic structure is entirely based off of) Light is frequently used as a symbol for the One.
You're literally making this up. The scan has one dialogue and you're making a whole contrived headcanon from it. The One from Neoplatonism is literally an easy 0.

“Immcluate perfection” is literally just another name for the Overvoid ie the call back to Multiversity which the scan was based on.

This has no correlation to it. You're making just a sentence seem it should have more definition then it does, it was a call back to Multiversity, that's it.This is all your speculation, it isn't detailed in the comics.
The best example in DC’s case is given through the usage of colors on Multiversity map. On the map, the Multiverse is illustrated as this elaborate diagram of all the colors of the rainbow, while the The Source/Overvoid is illustrated as the white space containing and underlying it. So the color theme on the map is basically implying to you that this white space is a unity compared to the Multiverse. It is unbroken and self contained while the Multiverse is the illuminated emanation of that unity(all the colors of the rainbow coming from white light).
This is new from you. Certainly, isn't what anyone would interpret. Again, headcanon.
Yeah, it's less than The Darkness, so that's really a good symbolism that's visited upon Morrison and not really anyone else, but I can attest that it’s not so much “Neoplatoism” since non-dualism isn't based on things involving Monism.
I agree with the Overvoid and The Source being the same though. I just disagree with basically everything else you’ve suggested.
Well, at least, one can agree over that easy-to-understand context. Though, The Source, did come from The Darkness, that's not something new.

I've never contradicted what you've said, but I still don't see it as being more powerful, or "more conceptual" as you seem to imply. Even if they were, Morpheus and the pure abstraction of Dream influence Lucifer equally. Dream, after all, is not stronger than Lucifer.
If it encompasses Lucifer, and Lucifer can't affect the entire concept, it is beyond Lucifer.
These are some of the reasons I'm unsure about them. I still won't be definitive on this, but I don't accept your claim that Night and Time are vastly superior to God.
Yahweh is lord of one Creation, he doesn't touch the rest. Both Night and Time scale to all Creations. That's an easy logic to take.

Also just to add, the best way to read the origin in Justice League Incarnate is to interpret the light growing within darkness as a metaphor for the same fall into duality we see in Final Crisis and Multiversity, but from the perspective of within creation while final crisis starts beyond creation.

A good example of how to think about it is from this scene which I think takes place in issue 5 of Dematteis Dr. Fate series. When the vampire Benedict played the flute that brings about the sleep of Brahma, creation returns back to darkness, leaving only Benedict and Dr. Fate standing silently within it. And then from their vantage point within the darkness, a smile of pure white light forms and opens up and births creation by bringing light into darkness, which effectively creates duality. This Smile then closes, but remains forever within, behind and beyond the all that took place, implying that this God or white light, is immanent in creation through the duality of (light coming into dark) but also beyond it.

Animal Man also showcases pretty much the same scene but this time Animal Man starts out in the pure light and then falls into the darkness of creation(The Great Darkness) through and towards a light in the center of the darkness which drags further into matter and manifestation.

Ultimately, darkness can be seen as the primal state of creation before light is introduced. The reason darkness is a primal state of creation because God as immaculate perfection is not perceivable, leaving within the space of creation only darkness which is meant to dramatize the unknowing. Only when light pierces darkness from beyond does the space of creation take shape, similarly to how light must hit a prism to fracture into all the colors. Without that moment, we would have nothing to see.

Yea no... The aspects of this creation do not stem from true abstractions; rather, they are true abstractions themselves, and the same applies to Father Time. These aspects are merely soide-effects of the Perpetua Multiverse, whereas Father Time represents the entirety of the multiverse. The new history of the DC Universe does not describe the Endless as incarnations but instead refers to them as complete representations of true abstractions.
He was present in the Void as per Dreams’ statement that they were there when the “rules” were set which Morpheus addressed to his creation it was set when “All was Void.”
It didn't state about pre-creation as well but a void, and the last issue clearly stated that Dawn of time is the moment where the worlds paid more attention to words, which means they all set the rules when the universe was void but not darkness.

Time already predates existence, it’s his existence when he came with Night that made it all possible. Ignoring the most obvious statement, Creation is dying as we see in Overture #4 and #5 had no effect on Time, he saw the “end” and the “rebirth” since dreams don't affect him.
You are half right but no. He might be older because he was born from energies came from Source but doesn't mean those energies are perfect representation of time but raw, However, the entity father time was born when Perpetua created the multiverse.
Yeah, as if we didn't have a “Sandman” series telling us, we wouldn't have know an Endless family exist embodying “concepts” that aren’t living things.
Does being non-living things mean they lack consciousness?
That's literally saying they are. Indicated by the “or.”
He's merely providing an example of different entities existing beyond the multiverse. It's essentially the same concept as "One or Two," where "One or Two" doesn't imply that One and Two are the same.
He isn't the the main writer anymore, is he?
His map and concepts remain integral to current cosmology, and you were the first to reference Morrison's interview to support your argument that the Overvoid equals the Source.
Whose the “he” in this instance?
Source.
Non-dual was used very sparingly. Contradictory as Mandrakk was later retconned, not to be “unified in serene oneness” as his fall into the Overvoid led him into the Dark Multiverse.
No it's not sparing idea? and Mandrakk never was unified with oneness btw.

The Source isn't infinite, Darkness bounds it on all side. There's nothing but darkness beyond The Source and when all was darkness “everything was nothing.” That is a clear indication it is infinite. Deadly Greeen literally makes this the point that the Light is barely a glinting show from where he stands.
The Source is, that's why greater omniverse is infinite and his true essence sit at the center. Darkness isn't beyond Source?? and no... Great Darkness never represent the infinite ( everything and Nothing ) and it's not even great darkness but absense of light and it's Overvoid.
Okay, then so is The Overvoid since if you want to use Morrison’s logic, they're all God, and would be 0, yet The Darkness exist.
Yea, they all are bascially God in purest form since they all are aspects of God, including Darkness who's shadow to Light.
The scan makes no correlation about “God.”
It does? God literally gave birth to light when he was self-awared which directly linked with the moment, Self-referential Void genereated Source.

As if Williamson was referencing a story that's hardly known to most people. It was referring to Multiversity, a well-known story. The illustration is already a dead giveaway, much less the terminology used.
A good example of how to think about it is from this scene which I think takes place in issue 5 of Dematteis Dr. Fate series. That “God” is the realization of the illusion of reality, in that he exists in all things, but also that he exists beyond it.
Animal Man also showcases pretty much the same scene but this time Animal Man starts out in the pure light and then falls into the darkness of creation(The Great Darkness) through and towards a light in the center of the darkness which drags further into matter and manifestation.
This is fine actually. Though, during that time, no reinterpretation of the Red even came close nor is the concepts coined ever been like that again.
The Darkness is more so the “unconscious” of God ie the pre-dream state.

So only God is in its purest form since that's its “mind.” The Source appearing within it contradicts the notion that Source = God in its purest form.

They are not. Morpheus literally says “he is not the concept itself” hence why he can die and the concept is fine.

Father Time would more so encompass the entire Greater Omniverse.
It didn't state about pre-creation as well but a void, and the last issue clearly stated that Dawn of time is the moment where the worlds paid more attention to words, which means they all set the rules when the universe was void but not darkness.
The Universe being “null and void” is literally a thematic allegory in religious contemporaries about the formless state of existence prior to Creation. I'm surprised you don't know this.

Yeah, that Void is pre-Creation.
You are half right but no. He might be older because he was born from energies came from Source but doesn't mean those energies are perfect representation of time but raw, However, the entity father time was born when Perpetua created the multiverse.
What is this jargon?
Does being non-living things mean they lack consciousness?
No, but “being” just “dreams” is not something that's consciously active, that's where the viewpoint comes in.

You seriously can't be this dense, non-living in that sense I was attributing to the aspects, no less.
He's merely providing an example of different entities existing beyond the multiverse. It's essentially the same concept as "One or Two," where "One or Two" doesn't imply that One and Two are the same.
The Source and The Overvoid are both “One.” They’re the same thing in Morrison.
His map and concepts remain integral to current cosmology, and you were the first to reference Morrison's interview to support your argument that the Overvoid equals the Source.
Yeah, that's not dwelling into the specifics that don't work.
What's the context here?
No it's not sparing idea? and Mandrakk never was unified with oneness btw.
Then “Overvoid” is not non-dual, if it weren't the ground of unification that dissolve contradiction in which is in separation of the Flaw and of the stuff in The Flaw.
The Source is, that's why greater omniverse is infinite and his true essence sit at the center. Darkness isn't beyond Source?? and no... Great Darkness never represent the infinite ( everything and Nothing ) and it's not even great darkness but absense of light and it's Overvoid.
Then that proves Greater Omniverse being larger in size than The Source, which doesn't make sense. The Overvoid is The Light, The Darkness, by definition as in “total darkness” is the definition of light. Being called darkness in contrast to the Light is a contradiction to Morrison’s Overvoid, but, then again The “Overvoid” changed over time.
Yea, they all are bascially God in purest form since they all are aspects of God, including Darkness who's shadow to Light.
Aspects are not whole. 0 don't act in part that's not themselves so their whole is always stronger.
It does? God literally gave birth to light when he was self-awared which directly linked with the moment, Self-referential Void genereated Source.
God would spawn something from nothing, said nothing being the Darkness as mentioned several times. He didn't pull it out himself since that can't happen with 0.

The said example is deplorable. What they see is Morpheus, the dream of said Creation, isn't the “Dream” on which all the aspects are being projected from just the pure concept.
I never disagreed with Morpheus being an aspect of the Dream archetype. My argument is actually relying on Morpheus being an aspect of the Dream archetype.

The Endless were not born of humans, their existience is contingent on Creation, they're not “gods” as the Sandman states several times. The very earliest moments of sentient life are more accurate than human perception.
This is not what I said. Read my comment again please.

It isn't limited to him, he's just the primary example. It’s also not an assumption about “their true form,” it’s been mentioned, it hasn't resurfaced outside Gaiman.
I never said Dream is the only one of the Endless with a true form. My claim is not that the Endless having true forms is an assumption, my claim is that your interpretation asserts only aspects were created from the Big Bang and not just the Endless themselves. Essentially, you’re taking this statement “The Big Bang gave rise to stars, planets, and the Endless…” and interpreting it as “The Big Bang gave rise to stars, planets, and aspects of the Endless”. And your reason for this interpretation is evidence of the Endless having lesser aspects of their true forms. However, that doesn’t actually support your interpretation because your validity here is not contingent on proving they have true forms, rather it’s proving that the Big Bang only gave rise to aspects of the Endless and not just the Endless themselves.

You're literally making this up. The scan has one dialogue and you're making a whole contrived headcanon from it. The One from Neoplatonism is literally an easy 0.

“Immcluate perfection” is literally just another name for the Overvoid ie the call back to Multiversity which the scan was based on.
I never denied that it was a name of sorts given to the Overvoid. My point focuses more on why the Overvoid is called an immaculate perfection and what that title immaculate perfection implies when used adjectively with the word “light”. Essentially, I think the wording “immaculate perfection of light” inherently implies something non-dual, which would go against your interpretation.

This has no correlation to it. You're making just a sentence seem it should have more definition then it does, it was a call back to Multiversity, that's it.This is all your speculation, it isn't detailed in the comics.
Yeah, it's less than The Darkness, so that's really a good symbolism that's visited upon Morrison and not really anyone else, but I can attest that it’s not so much “Neoplatoism” since non-dualism isn't based on things involving Monism.
This is all a non-argument. The writer Grant Morrison has consistently drawn on Neoplatonism, and the whole DC cosmology itself consistently draws on it as a cosmic framework, and they’ve been doing that for decades, hence why I can trace it back t9 the 80s. If you disagree, explain why, don’t just hand wave it.

As if William was referencing a story that's hardly known to most people. It was referring to Multiversity, a well-known story. The illustration is already a dead giveaway, much less the terminology used.
I wasn’t denying in my comment that the scene referred back to multiversity. I just think the origin in Final Crisis and Multiversity are the same so I included both of them. So unless you think final crisis is irrelevant, I don’t know what you’re disagreeing with here.

That “God” is the realization of the illusion of reality, in that he exists in all things, but also that he exists beyond it.
I don’t disagree with this.

This is fine actually. Though, during that time, no reinterpretation of the Red even came close nor is the concepts coined ever been like that again.
I don’t think this whole scene is taking place in the Red. I think the Black Queen took Buddy somewhere beyond the Red by turning him into Pure Thought. Only after falling into creation and finding the World Soul does he see the Lifeweb/Red again. Which makes sense considering the Red and all of that Parliaments stuff is related to the World Soul which sits in between the Kosmos and Nous.

The Darkness is more so the “unconscious” of God ie the pre-dream state.

So only God is in its purest form since that's its “mind.” The Source appearing within it contradicts the notion that Source = God in its purest form
The unconscious is by definition a state of the mind so I partially disagree here. Like psychologically, when you go unconscious your mind basically ceases its mental activity, to the point where you can’t even dream. However, you don’t enter a state that’s literally beyond your own mind do you? For example, if somebody faints or has a coma, do you think they’re literally in some state beyond their mind? Obviously not, the mind as unconscious. So ultimately Gods unconscious would still be contained in the Mind of God, it would just be a state without mental activity, which in DC’s context would be a state where creation is not actively being played out.

So you’re actually proving my whole point with this comment. Monitor Mind the Overvoid, aka the Void as the mind of Monitor(God), must hold darkness and light together within itself.

If it encompasses Lucifer, and Lucifer can't affect the entire concept, it is beyond Lucifer.
We're talking about raw power. Otherwise, none but Death has any say or power over him. Actually not Death too, but if he dies (which is impossible), Death takes him. Still, none of them are equal to Lucifer in terms of raw power. Furthermore, Lucifer can destroy them as much as he wishes or prevent them from functioning, but that's outside his purview. Otherwise, they can't control Lucifer either.
Yahweh is lord of one Creation, he doesn't touch the rest. Both Night and Time scale to all Creations. That's an easy logic to take.
This absurd logic cannot be true... Yahweh sees creations as nothing more than toys. The actual bodies of all other creators can destroy all creation as a side effect. Yahweh's Demiurgic power can create an infinite number of creations from the Void, or destroy them all. You can't compare them based on creations.

I never disagreed with Morpheus being an aspect of the Dream archetype. My argument is actually relying on Morpheus being an aspect of the Dream archetype.
Okay, and said “Dream” is higher, so his “true extent” should be higher as I mentioned. Controlling the “full concept” of Dream would require something beyond Hands'/Archangel level, if you ask me.

Obviously, I mentioned it isn't bound to Creation, it can exist without it fine, not that there ever won't be “Creations” since they always proliferate in all moments.
This is not what I said. Read my comment again please.
No, you said:
So saying that the big bang created only aspects of the Endless makes no sense because those aspects are born out of humanities individual and cultural perception, not the spark that starts existence.
That's literally what I differentiate that it isn't human they're bound to, nor that spark.

Also, The Hands didn't create the CU, that's a natural energy that develops as “consciousness” of sentient beings began. Why do you create Pepretua “making everything.” She created the Multiverse in the three realms of matter and her sons, that was it.
I never said Dream is the only one of the Endless with a true form. An aspect of the Endless is their viewpoint as opposed to ther whole. The “Endless” part hardly matters because they're called many things alongside that, in that “they” refers to what is projected in Creation ie the aspect. We don't need to call “Dream” the Endless in every instance, so no, I distinguish “aspect and whole,” not aspect as a difference in name per “Endless.”
I never denied that it was a name of sorts given to the Overvoid. Essentially, I think the wording “immaculate perfection of light” inherently implies something non-dual, which would go against your interpretation.
That's a really off-handed interpretation based on a name given to The Overvoid during Multiversity. Non-dualism doesn't work at that point since Snyder's deception of the Overvoid destroyss that notion.
You got that all that from two literal scans that isn't even explicitly stating the sort. That's the problem, you're being very generous with what you think Grant presumes to use, yet Neoplatonism isn't “Buddhism” which Grant refers to more often, they’re similarities, but they're not the same thing, it’s legitimately one or the other.

Grant meshing ideas is fine, but it doesn't make something work, even when considering if what you said was true, which I get no indication from those Green Lantern scans. I just sound like you pulled it out of thin air because I haven't heard of this one before and evidently for a reason.
I wasn’t denying in my comment that the scene referred back to multiversity. I just think the origin in Final Crisis and Multiversity are the same so I included both of them. So unless you think final crisis is irrelevant, I don’t know what you’re disagreeing with here.
Do you agree with Snyder view that the Overvoid isn't some “consciousness” that is the ground of being that gave rise to differentiation and distinction because quite frankly, it'd be 0, if that case were still proper, but Snyder depiction of it just treated as just a space that held Multiverses.
I don’t disagree with this.
Read Seekers into the Mystery, what goes on in the dream is less real than anything since God is the only one that's real. The realization is the Smile as per when “to dance that last dance, to smile that smile.”
The entirety of the story hinges on the notion that Buddy could do it because he's connected to The Red/Anima Mundi/Morphogenetic field. That's the point as per the description of The Red is mentioned in every instance of those feats.
The unconscious is by definition a state of the mind so I partially disagree here. Like psychologically, when you go unconscious your mind basically ceases its mental activity, to the point where you can’t even dream. So ultimately Gods unconscious would still be contained in the Mind of God, it would just be a state without mental activity, which in DC’s context would be a state where creation is not actively being played out.
The Mind of God is God’s Unconscious because the activeness of him is why things exist. Without that, nothing exists if he's not actively dreaming of things, so when he's “unconscious” that’s before the Dream or when the dream ends. This is why The Sea of Brahma is called “God’s Unconscious” because The Creator hadn't dreamed yet.
So you’re actually proving my whole point with this comment. Monitor Mind the Overvoid, aka the Void as the mind of Monitor(God), must hold darkness and light together within itself.
You're saying “mind of God” contains his own unconscious, I didn't agree with this notion. So, no, I wasn't proving your point. Your randomly asserting an empty claim I didn't make.

They can't control via mind hax, sure, but they have dominion over him. Ultima worded it perfectly:

That retort doesn't work because it tries to set up an opposition between "The true Endless have dominion over Lucifer and Michael because they're more powerful" and "The true Endless have dominion over Lucifer and Michael because the two were created by a Creator" such that the latter can act as an explanation in place of the former, when that opposition doesn't really exist, since the two are not mutually exclusive. Destiny, for example, is just a side-effect of Yahweh, but that doesn't mean that he actually isn't more powerful than Lucifer and Michael, that's just a non-sequitur. It's just the difference between a power (Destiny) and the one exerting that power (Yahweh). Even if the dominion over Lucifer and Michael ultimately flows forth from Yahweh, Destiny still is said dominion and therefore in his full concept is more powerful than them on that basis.
This absurd logic cannot be true... Yahweh sees creations as nothing more than toys.
Yeah, but all Creations outside his aren't of his, so they function without his necessary existence. So, he can scale above any Creation, but it doesn't help your case to establish that his “reach” is far lower than Night and Time.
The actual bodies of all other creators can destroy all creation as a side effect.
Jin En Moks aren't cited as “things within Yahweh’s Cosmos and explicitly state they're far older. Which again, shows things exist outside of him.
Yahweh's Demiurgic power can create an infinite number of creations from the Void, or destroy them all. You can't compare them based on creations.
No, it can't. It made one Creation at a time, unless you have a scan that says it made “infinite” multiplicities of Creation.

His power and dominion are over one Creation, the whole of Lucifer's story shows that there will be other Makers, Yahweh is for one Creation as is the other Makers. Night and Time is all Creations and their possibility of existence and non-existence.

Okay, and said “Dream” is higher, so his “true extent” should be higher as I mentioned. Controlling the “full concept” of Dream would require something beyond Hands'/Archangel level, if you ask me.
This argument is a full circle. Theres nothing supporting why creating the Endless should require more power than the Hands outside of you just asserting that it should. I don’t know how you expect anybody to take an argument like this seriously, it practically starts and ends at “because I said so.”

You’re missing the point. I’m not claiming the Endless are bound by humanity, I’m saying while the aspects of the Endless arise through cultural and perceptual interpretation, the Endless, as stated explicitly by the comic, arise from the Big Bang.

Also yes the Hands did create the CU, as it’s literally a part of the seven energies that make up the totality. If it didn’t come with their act of creation, it wouldn’t be listed as one of the energies within their power.

None of this addresses my point of contention about the Endless originating from the Big Bang. I actually don’t even really know why you typed this as it’s basically a semantical nitpick of yours.

That's a really off-handed interpretation based on a name given to The Overvoid during Multiversity. Non-dualism doesn't work at that point since Snyder's deception of the Overvoid destroyss that notion.
I didn’t base my stance off a name or label, stop trying to downsize my argument. When they say stuff like “immaculate perfection”, “immaculate intelligence”, “Heart of Monitor perfection”, etc, they’re setting up metaphysical descriptors to help build emphasis to the reader of what the Overvoid is. I don’t really think Snyder contradicted Morrison, I just think it stems from bad interpretations by other people mostly.

I don’t think I’m being generous at all. Final Crisis and Multiversity are densely packed stories where every sentence has multiple layers of meaning that’ll make someone have to revisit the book over and over again to build a confident interpretation. The “you’re looking too deep bro” argument is probably the worst thing you could pull for these two stories.

Also I don’t know why you’re acting like Grant is super subtle about Neoplatonism. It’s literally thrown up and down throughout final crisis and Multiversity, and it’s like blatantly stated within Grants own interviews. It’s hard to go digging deep for what’s being pretty much shoved in your face page after page, interview after interview.

Do you agree with Snyder view that the Overvoid isn't some “consciousness” that is the ground of being that gave rise to differentiation and distinction because quite frankly, it'd be 0, if that case were still proper, but Snyder depiction of it just treated as just a space that held Multiverses.
Ok well first of all, there is no Snyder view I’m speaking against right now. What I’m speaking against is your view of Snyder’s stories, and your view is that Scott Snyder retconned the Overvoid or whatever. Although obviously, you know I don’t agree with that.

Read Seekers into the Mystery, what goes on in the dream is less real than anything since God is the only one that's real. The realization is the Smile as per when “to dance that last dance, to smile that smile.”
I’ve already read it.

The entirety of the story hinges on the notion that Buddy could do it because he's connected to The Red/Anima Mundi/Morphogenetic field. That's the point as per the description of The Red is mentioned in every instance of those feats.
The Red is not the anima mundi, it’s a part of the anima mundi serving as a pathway for it to be reached. And while I do agree that his connection to the World Soul played a part, I really think it was about Buddy becoming pure thought that allowed him to go beyond illusion and become one with the Clear Light.

I’m confused because this is basically a concession on your end no? If I’ve been saying the Monitor Mind the Overvoid is the mind of God and you think the Overvoid is opposite of darkness, to say now that darkness is the mind of God would be completely conceding your original point.

You’re also kind of still contradicting yourself. If the mind of God not actively dreaming is the unconscious, then unconscious would by your own definition be a state of the mind, not the mind itself. Which makes sense, because whether the mind is conscious or unconscious is irrelevant to its stature. It will still remain fixed as the container for whatever state it’s in. Or in DC’s terms, whether it’s dreaming or not dreaming of creation, it doesn't become more or diminished from what it is. So the Overvoid must by foundation, always be an immutable, immaculate, totality, containing all concepts and thoughts within itself, including the duality light and dark, and all the others.

You're saying “mind of God” contains his own unconscious, I didn't agree with this notion. So, no, I wasn't proving your point. Your randomly asserting an empty claim I didn't make.
Bro you conceded already pack it up.

This argument is a full circle. Theres nothing supporting why creating the Endless should require more power than the Hands outside of you just asserting that it should. I don’t know how you expect anybody to take an argument like this seriously, it practically starts and ends at “because I said so.”
Sounds like you're conceding on this point.
You’re missing the point. I’m not claiming the Endless are bound by humanity, I’m saying while the aspects of the Endless arise through cultural and perceptual interpretation, the Endless, as stated explicitly by the comic, arise from the Big Bang.
The Big Bang raised the aspect, the whole is something that's from Time essence. You not getting this is causing the confusion because you claim that humans affect “The Endless” proxy through said aspect, which I explicitly state wasn't the case. So, obviously, we’re at a difference but through your premise, that's is what you're saying unless you expect me to believe humans created The Endless (in that aspect, which they didn't).
Also yes the Hands did create the CU, as it’s literally a part of the seven energies that make up the totality. If it didn’t come with their act of creation, it wouldn’t be listed as one of the energies within their power.
The Totality that make up the seven energies is literally distinct from Perpetua, it was already the energies within The Source. She fashioned the Multiverse into the three realms of matter, the energies simply grew with the Multiverse, she never directly made any of the seven.
None of this addresses my point of contention about the Endless originating from the Big Bang. I actually don’t even really know why you typed this as it’s basically a semantical nitpick of yours.
I answered, you're just choosing to be ignorant and deflecting points.
I didn’t base my stance off a name or label, stop trying to downsize my argument.
That's precisely my point, the name and reference is to a specific and previous story, you're adding nonsensical context, that's the issue.
When they say stuff like “immaculate perfection”, “immaculate intelligence”, “Heart of Monitor perfection”, etc, they’re setting up metaphysical descriptors to help build emphasis to the reader of what the Overvoid is.
It was explained in Multiversity because the Overvoid was “unstained and unflawed” that why it was “immaculately perfect” as per the name to describe its state, in which it was hence why it found “hitherto, a flaw in its heart” so up until that point, it was that perfection. So saying immaculate perfection is just saying what the Monitor-Mind is, which it didn't say “The Monitor was immaculately perfect,” as so much to use that as a description, but the emphasis was “Immaculate Perfection” reacting to The Flaw as in “The Overvoid found a flaw.” So, yeah, it was just what it was called prior to the Multiverse “hitherto (until)” a flaw was found.

Dark Crisis emphasizes that The Overvoid is that immaculate perfection of light because it is the perfect Light that went against the Darkness. If you interpret something else, then you'd be reading it wrong.
I don’t really think Snyder contradicted Morrison, I just think it stems from bad interpretations by other people mostly.
Snyder doesn't distinctly use those terms. He just treats the Overvoid as space for the Multiverses.
I don’t think I’m being generous at all. Final Crisis and Multiversity are densely packed stories where every sentence has multiple layers of meaning that’ll make someone have to revisit the book over and over again to build a confident interpretation.
Arguing with you and a certain individuals makes me reread it over and over again, every story has “several meaning,” Multiversity is no more special than most stories simply because it delves into metaphysics. If not then Morrison wouldn't be a profilic writer, if he couldn't write what he thinks on paper (which is ironic).
The “you’re looking too deep bro” argument is probably the worst thing you could pull for these two stories.
No, you're adding random context to scans with a few dialogues.
No, he's very subtle since in his interview he explains his thoughts process a whole lot more than he does in his comic.

His “Overvoid” conception and the use of non-duality are closer to Southeastern philosophy. You somehow come out with the most outlandish take on a scan, that does not even name-drop anything, because for all I know, the message during his Green Lantern run was fitting the theme of the Laterns, not just a metaphysical references without any correlation to the story. So I suggest, you read the second part of the scan about the “rainbow” theory you had and see if it correlates to Neoplatoism, or just describes the Emotional Spectrum. The former is far-fetched and the latter is the whole point, more so the actual message.
Ok well first of all, there is no Snyder view I’m speaking against right now. What I’m speaking against is your view of Snyder’s stories, and your view is that Scott Snyder retconned the Overvoid or whatever. Although obviously, you know I don’t agree with that.
The point is that The Endless and Night/Time are almost exclusively dwell deep with their origin in their runs, that's why the rich lore you keep ignoring explains the origin of The Endless proper in correlation to aspect and whole. The History only simplifies, but, The Overvoid reappears in the mainstream stories hence the changes. If it were strictly described like how Morrison intended especially during his Doom Patrol and Kid Eternity, it would have no problem being 0, that's the thing, the other authors I mentioned never treated it as such and never described it in any manner like Morrison.
I’ve already read it.
Good counter.
The Red is not the anima mundi, it’s a part of the anima mundi serving as a pathway for it to be reached.
It’s literally the anima mundi alongside the morphogenetic field, M-Field, etc…. They're all the same name for The Red.
And while I do agree that his connection to the World Soul played a part, I really think it was about Buddy becoming pure thought that allowed him to go beyond illusion and become one with the Clear Light.
Again, this isn't something that's stated, you're making another contrived headcanon. Just agree about the first part, because evidently the second part is your speculation as per “I really think.” So, you know your adding your own personal thoughts that the scan has nothing to do with, what the hell is the “clear light” that isn't even a coined term for anything. Another one of the descriptors for the “Light of Creation” I take it as you intended despite that very being the point of that storyline.
I’m confused because this is basically a concession on your end no? If I’ve been saying the Monitor Mind the Overvoid is the mind of God and you think the Overvoid is opposite of darkness, to say now that darkness is the mind of God would be completely conceding your original point.
No, The Great Darkness is the unconscious mind of God, I never said the Light/Overvoid was the same mind because of “opposites,” that was you.
You’re also kind of still contradicting yourself. If the mind of God not actively dreaming is the unconscious, then unconscious would by your own definition be a state of the mind, not the mind itself.
When you're conscious and you think, your mind is “thinking.” When you're unconscious and you don't think, you're mind isn't thinking.

So mind = the state of said mind. You're overcomplicating something that's not hard to understand.
Which makes sense, because whether the mind is conscious or unconscious is irrelevant to its stature.
Then your point was obsolete to begin with. You're now just backtracking.
Sounds quite like you're going on random tangents when you're backed into a corner without having anything to say. You’re points above are useless, if you argue they weren't important or relevant, so which is it?
Bro you conceded already pack it up.
Real mature, quite frankly, something you've seen to suggest as I progressively see you starting to back peddle on your stances especially nearing the end. Not a hard tone to convey, so save me your retort, you should take your own statement at face value.

The scaling OP is making is very problematic and wrong because of these two main reasons.
1. OP claimed Morpheus words don't represent Dream Concept as a whole.
2. OP claimed that words from aspects of the Endless shouldn't apply to their concepts as a whole.

It's wrong and funny because this is the final form of Cheery Picking OP is doing here. Entire sandman comic has Endless family members talking about their concepts and powers. OP considered everything is fine but only one kind of statement won't apply to the concept which is admitting their inferiority towards Yahweh and His Sons. OP is outright ignoring Endless's statements about how they are less powerful than Lucifer and God just because the one speaking is just an aspect and their words shouldn't apply to the concept somehow.

So keep that in mind before passing your votes.

For the record, I never gave a green light to this, no.

@Elizio33 @Firestorm808 @ProfectusInfinity

What do you think about this? 🙏
While it is true that the Endless predate Lucifer Morningstar and Michael Demiurgos, they are not more powerful than them. Dream of the Endless (Morpheus) made this very clear when he stated that Lucifer was second only to his father, Yahweh, and since every aspect of Endless is fully aware of the greater whole it represents, this statement reflects the understanding of Dream's true self rather than a limited fragment. Regarding their origins, the Endless do not precede the Big Bang. Although earlier interpretations suggested otherwise, this is no longer canon. The New History of the DC Universe by Mark Waid (2025) explicitly establishes that the Big Bang gave rise to the Endless, not merely their aspects. Waid does reference The Sandman #22 as a source, but this does not alter the conclusion, since the guide directly contradicts the older account. The Endless do indeed possess a true extent, and what mortals perceive are merely aspects of their greater selves. However, this trait is not unique to them, it applies to most entities inhabiting the Sphere of the Gods, all of whom are essential to maintaining physical reality.

This analysis makes sense.

The Mansions of Silence:

Mansions are not outside Creation ie not in the Greater Omniverse. The only two structures outside Creation is Yggdrasil and Eden Garden.
This section looks fine for the most part, but doesn't the profile for the Mansions of Silence, which you created, say that it contains Yggdrasil?
Attack Potency: High Outerverse level (The Mansions of Silence contains a multiplicity of Creations as stated by Yahweh to be infinite variations of the Universe before he decided to create his sons to make it. Creations contains the Dreaming, Heaven, Hell, and Yggdrasil and the Mansions contain many of these Cosmos discarded by Yahweh after their failure)

I support Elizio33's interpretation here. 🙏

Grant Morrison viewed the Overvoid, the Source, and God as the same, treating them as the same. Justice League Incarnate #4 (2022) echoed this concept, hinting that the Overvoid represents the Light and associating it with the origins of the DC Multiverse, using terms like “immaculate perfection of the Light” and “imperceptible flaw,” though this was presented through a flawed recap of the Crises and the Great Darkness’s involvement.

Current canon clarifies the distinctions: in The New Gods #1 by Ram V (2025), the Source is described as a product of a self-referential void, while the Great Darkness cannot be that void, existing only in relation to the Source. In Swamp Thing (1986), the Great Darkness is described as without name or need of a name until the Light came, when it experienced its first awareness of self, demonstrating that it is not self-referential. The Great Darkness has never been portrayed as the unconscious mind of God but consistently as God’s shadow, absence, or counterbalance to His light.

Showed so many evidence of it and it is vividly clear with Morpheus' limitation as Dream of the Endless. I don't know why we’re stuck in this notion that The Angels who are encompassed by said concept would somehow be more powerful.

Yahweh and his sons do not control or hold dominion over The Endless especially considering they didn't make any of their concepts or have the power to express total control as the Endless in what they represent are external to all three.
So keep that in mind before passing your votes.
Calling it cherry-picking because it goes against your view is certainly an argument.

This analysis makes sense.

I said Creation contains Yggdrassil, though I needed to change that obviously.
While it is true that the Endless predate Lucifer Morningstar and Michael Demiurgos, they are not more powerful than them. Dream of the Endless (Morpheus) made this very clear when he stated that Lucifer was second only to his father, Yahweh,
You're using an outdated statement. By this logic, Lucifer > Source because that's not the mentioned as the Creator in Lucifer lore. How can you take a statement seriously when it didn't even established the lore of Sandman to Night and Time as Ultima mentioned? Not to mention what’s applicable to Morpheus isn't tot Dream which literally encompasses Lucifer?
and since every aspect of Endless is fully aware of the greater whole it represents, this statement reflects the understanding of Dream's true self rather than a limited fragment.
What? That doesn't even make sense, they don't scale to the full whole as per statement by both the narrator and Morpheus, himself. So we’re filling in the context now?
Regarding their origins, the Endless do not precede the Big Bang.
Said so many times, if not Morpheus then the previous incarnations. They didn't randomly only appear as Dream with Creation, again, that's with Time. Arguing about Morpheus is okay except of the multitude of statement that he was already shaping in the formlenness when he made the heart of the Drewming before it was made to take shape in Creation.
Although earlier interpretations suggested otherwise, this is no longer canon. The New History of the DC Universe by Mark Waid (2025) explicitly establishes that the Big Bang gave rise to the Endless, not merely their aspects. The gods stated explicitly are lower than even the aspect. The aspect in what they perceive isn't the true form that's not in Creation, they were already actualized in Time’s realm outside Creation.

It was very clear that the total Darkness as the absence of light was not a conscious force until the creation of the Light. That prior state is the “self-referential.”

The Big Bang gave rise to stars, planets, and the Endless - seven powerful entities who each represented an aspect of this new reality. Among them were Destiny, Death, and the Dream Lord, master of his realm, the Dreaming.
how do you argue against this? are you saying that this is just talking about their avatar self and not their true form?

Ultima is the only one to not undermine the literal lore.
You guys are overmining the lore and reading too much into pretty simple stuffs. The scans here doesn't even state that Endless in this context are "aspects" or "true form". The scan clearly indicates that Endless are born with the Big Bang. Yeah Endless predates Big bang but their concepts and functions won't exist without Creation. If there's no one, how will death function? If there is truly nothing, how will destruction happen?
Even the author of sandman told overly delusional people like you that "The text in the comic is pretty clear" implying there's no need to overthink it. Morpheus admitted that he is weaker than Lucifer and that's true. But you are saying you don't want to acknowledge this fact because it goes against what you believed in. Then in your logic, we should remove all of abilities and powers from Endless profiles since all we have seen in the comics are just aspects talking nonsenses that don't apply to their true concepts. How about that? Do you see how dumb is it?

Yeah, that's the aspect, it doesn't have anything to do with their larger self since Morpheus is:

A. The only “Dream
B. The only incarnation of “Dream”
C. Speaks for all Dreams of different Creations.
Yeah, Morpheus admits inferiority, a claim that I already stated to be the case, but in so much as “dreams” as a concept exists in which bounds Lucifer as he also dreams, is that full exertion of power, that's not limited within Morpheus hence why his death had no impact of Dream of that Creation ie another aspect or the full concept that already projects all viewpoints across different Creations.

No, the profile already specifies Morpheus as a different key than his actual “true abstraction.”

This argument is a full circle. Theres nothing supporting why creating the Endless should require more power than the Hands outside of you just asserting that it should. I don’t know how you expect anybody to take an argument like this seriously, it practically starts and ends at “because I said so.”

None of this addresses my point of contention about the Endless originating from the Big Bang. I actually don’t even really know why you typed this as it’s basically a semantical nitpick of yours.

Ok well first of all, there is no Snyder view I’m speaking against right now. What I’m speaking against is your view of Snyder’s stories, and your view is that Scott Snyder retconned the Overvoid or whatever. Although obviously, you know I don’t agree with that.

I’ve already read it.

The Red is not the anima mundi, it’s a part of the anima mundi serving as a pathway for it to be reached. And while I do agree that his connection to the World Soul played a part, I really think it was about Buddy becoming pure thought that allowed him to go beyond illusion and become one with the Clear Light.

Bro you conceded already pack it up.
I agree with this.

I agree with this.
Yeah, he literally misinterpreted the scan to make his absurd claim.

He said that the “Endless” are perceived through different shape ie the aspect in the scans

Obviously, the scan didn't say that.

The example he used with Martin Manhunter also literally didn't support his claim.

1. Morpheus stood with Manhunter and Constatine, we see they see him in a different shape. They would be the “we” in that context, more so than that, Morpheus didn't change his being, he was still the same “Dream of the Endless.” So that's not the aspect in reference, which in #69 literally said by Dream is that he is the “small facet” of a radiant jewel.

It doesn't have to? That's a guide to the DC Multiverse, not outside and not the Greater Omniverse. If it were to then you'd be reading the references it give you at the bottom of the page.
Time only came into existence with after Source created the Big Bang. Big Bang is literally called "Dawn Of Time". You claimed that Endless True Selves reside in Time which is just inside the multiverse. If you aren't gonna agree with Father Time = Time in Crisis Cosmology, how will you solve the problem of existing two concepts of Time?
Big Bang aka Dawn Of Time litearlly gave rise to The Endless as you claim how Father Time give rises to his childrens.

Yeah, that's the aspect, it doesn't have anything to do with their larger self since Morpheus is:

A. The only “Dream
B. The only incarnation of “Dream”
C. Speaks for all Dreams of different Creations.
But somehow the only invalid word from him is him admitting that he is weaker than Lucifer? If he speaks for all Dream, he should know his concept encompass Lucifer and can win against him. But he can't because it's not true. It's that simple.
Dream's death always had impacts on his realms unless it was succeeded by next incarnation of Dream. There's no multiplicity of Incarnations here. Every incarnations of Dream we've seen is just one dream across different creations in different times. Morpheus was once the first incarnation of Dream and also the second incarnation of Dream. So, the jewel has no multiple facets. It has only one facet and it's the only truth of the jewel since light has no more facets to pass through and reveal a different appearence. His words are Dream's words as a concept. If Morpheus is an unrealiable narrator in the comic, we might as well throw away all statements from the Dream since what he saying is limited to only Morpheus and won't apply to Dream concept as a whole.
The first arc of sandman 1989 comic literally started with how beings can't wake up when Dream can't perform his duties. His absence decays the realms he rules. If Dream as a concept operate on a higher existence than Morpheus, a single incarnation's absence shouldn't be a problem. No?

No, the profile already specifies Morpheus as a different key than his actual “true abstraction.”
We are literally arguing that Dream as a concept has no more power than Morpheus has. They are one and the same. We accept that Morpheus is an aspect of Dream concept since we can't visualize a concept.

Time only came into existence with after Source created the Big Bang. Big Bang is literally called "Dawn Of Time". You claimed that Endless True Selves reside in Time which is just inside the multiverse.
Time isn't in the Multiverse, Cestis literally a “formeless” creature from the Void, older than Yahweh, survived the “death” of the Cosmos she came from unrecognized by time, space, and causality. Being unstuck means she transcends that in no less how Time realm is without cause-and-effect (causality) which already is embody as the foundation of Yahweh’s Creation and transcends the City of Stars, which is already in Creation as an actuality above reality. So he's not in Creation as he literally predates all versions if it, his “namesake” isn't that he is “Time” of Creation. It is embodied in him as they exist due to him since he's the relentless beat in which hey exist as said by Morpheus.
If you aren't gonna agree with Father Time = Time in Crisis Cosmology, how will you solve the problem of existing two concepts of Time?
Big Bang aka Dawn Of Time litearlly gave rise to The Endless as you claim how Father Time give rises to his childrens.
I agree they can exert said influence which you claim Deep Change = Source, so Time having said similar power but a distinct entity isn't a problem because that “Time” isn't in reference to him as would night and day, not refer to “Night.”
But somehow the only invalid word from him is him admitting that he is weaker than Lucifer? If he speaks for all Dream, he should know his concept encompass Lucifer and can win against him. But he can't because it's not true. It's that simple.
He can exert influence via what he represents. He can say that in respect to himself as a representation of the concept.
Dream's death always had impacts on his realms unless it was succeeded by next incarnation of Dream. There's no multiplicity of Incarnations here. Every incarnations of Dream we've seen is just one dream across different creations in different times.
That's literally what I said.
It’s one facet per Creation, but they all were it’s facet. You're now adding words.
The first arc of sandman 1989 comic literally started with how beings can't wake up when Dream can't perform his duties. His absence decays the realms he rules. If Dream as a concept operate on a higher existence than Morpheus, a single incarnation's absence shouldn't be a problem. No?
His duty in Creation is his own. That’s it, that isn't the very concept. His death should be a reflection of why he isn't said concept.
We are literally arguing that Dream as a concept has no more power than Morpheus has. They are one and the same. We accept that Morpheus is an aspect of Dream concept since we can't visualize a concept.
They're not. Yahweh claims that “dreams” are a power external to him, it that it isn't something he can control, yet influences him shows the power expressed through dreams via already embodied in the concept itself is distinct from Morpheus since he didn't influence Yahweh in that case.

You would be ignoring what he said or the power they possess, which isn't limited to Morpheus, but is exclusively tied to him since he is a facet of the true concept that he represent in that Creation.
