Void Hunter 2.0 vs Upper Moon 4 (4-2-0)

Why aren't we mentioning her sword spam exactly? I feel like the amount she can summon and utilize hasn't been mentioned or at least properly respected in their capability. Furthermore, are we just writing off the fact that she has Vital View too, together with the Danmaku, she'd have more hopes of hitting her target while avoiding Zohakuten. And this is on top of the fact she has teleportation and flight with her abilities and superior perception/reactions, any attack that can be done or force her hand would have to get past these first.
i mean i have been bringing up her sword spam, the argument is kinda just that zohakuten can either block them with his giant wood dragons or just straight up facetank and regen through them since he can't really die without minitengu also dying

i kinda just figured vital view didn't really matter that much in this fight given zohakuten can't really hit her with any of his attacks as a result of the range diff anyways, though hypothetically speaking i guess shunguang could get in close, dodge an attack with VV and take advantage of the ridiculous amp to just line up a spatial attack to kill both zohakuten and minitengu in a single go

her teleportation is limited to the stages with the sword beacons on them so i don't really consider it when talking about shungus in the same way as yixuan since yixuan actively demonstrates her ability to teleport on multiple occasions without external stuff like that. her flight is useful though, as it just lets her stay out of range of all of zohakuten's attacks

Speaking of which, why is Vital View only treated as a reaction/perception boost? The characters can dash/run around and attack while it's active. It's clearly a combat speed boost. Just change it to "MHS with Vital View"

Also, in-universe do you even need to evade an attack to activate it? I saw this cutscene and the girl seems to slow it down on command to evade the illusory Miyabi's attack

That seems like an on-command thing that lasts a few seconds. I dunno if this is a different power-up altogether, but If it's not I find it weird that the ability isn't indexed better for something actually used in a cutscene compared to just gameplay.

that's something that's more explicitly tied to yanagi herself, we have a profile for her on here.

i don't really think there's any explicit showings of vital view being utilized by characters within cutscenes, it's kinda just strictly tied to gameplay. granted, other gameplay mechanics like disorder have been directly referenced within the game's story but as far as i can remember i don't think vital view falls into that category. i guess the closest example would be this early character teaser of billy having an entire monologue while a bullet flies at him in slow motion, but i dunno if i'd say that really counts

the sword spam has been mentioned a few times and they'd be pretty harmless. Minitengu has a durability of 300 Kilotons and Zohakuten is completely unkillable until Minitengu dies, he would just regenerate infinitely from anything, and probably just respawn after erasure because Hantengu can just create him again.

the only real issue for Minitengu is gonna be the spatial attacks imo. everything else is harmless.

I deadass forgor that Shungus has the vital view 💀
I was so focused on the stamina and outlasting part lmfao
what does vital view do?

i probably wouldn't say that there's explicit falloff in the case of shunguang's swords. that clip i linked in my other comment during her fight with sarah showed her getting completely overwhelmed by shunguang's swords despite how far she was firing them from

granted you could argue she was just getting overwhelmed by the sheer number/volume of them but i don't think the impact of the swords would've been nearly as devastating if they were getting weaker as a result of the distance
Inverse square law wouldn't apply to the swords. Inverse square law is for omni-directional loss of energy for things like explosions or light spread out in a conical shape. Irl there'd be a loss of velocity and energy eventually, but the amount would be minuscule over her range to a point it doesn't matter for vs wiki matches.

I agree. I think Mach was prolly talking about the explosion she can generate. No one applies inverse square law to projectile attacks like that.
yes, i was talking about the nuke. the swords would maintain most of their energy
