Solidus lost to a rookie Snake, Venom Snake is at least comparable to higher level soldiers. So Venom for me.

Also what rookie? Raiden is one hell of a soldier, he remembers everything he did as the little Jack the Ripper during his last fight against solidus and the fight was PIS to me, I mean, the guy slaughtered 3 MG Ray in mere moments with just an p90.
