While the V-Rex does have a minor 1.35x AP advantage, higher intelligence, and arms that are more useful in combat, I don't think that'll be enough to save it from an opponent who is twice as big (50 feet Vs 25 feet) and has vastly superior LS (Class M Vs Class 100).
